Well, I think we know what they meant. Anyone else think that the track sounded like a REALLY underwhelming Raincoats tribute?

I didn't notice the similarities before, but now it's smacking me in the face. Those lyrics, though....they're awful even by RHCP's standards.

At least they're not trying to justify it by claiming it has continuity with their previous work as they did with Dani California, 'no, you should like it, cause it's like Under the Bridge!'

Agogô a-go-go!

This has potential to grow on me, but if I've learned anything with previous Peppers songs is if it's too derivative of their previous stuff, I'll skip it after the novelty wears off (happened to Dani California, and I listened to that a fair deal when it came out). Feels less gimmicky and more understated, though, which I like for a band that seemed to take the "more is more" approach on their last studio album.
