The PS3 RBN 2.0 Songs Request Thread

If there are ever to be more double bass songs, "Ship With No Sails" would be a good one. I never drum and even if I did I'm nowhere near good enough for double bass, but I'd buy that song again. Just to give my drummer friends the chance to play it online, and to show my support.

I'd love to see anything by Vangough or Freen in Green make it over.

Another week without foundation. What about the Quartered songs? Africa sold quite good, and came out a year ago.

Also, In Division by Underoath seems a logical inclusion, since ALL the underoath songs sold pretty good among all three consolles.

So, still waiting for sleeping with sirens, August Burns Red, BTBAM and the rest of Free Spirit stuff.

There are a lot of songs I'd want from 360 RBN, but every band is surely going to be ported (ADtR, BtBaM, Underoath and August Burns Red will come sooner or later..), so here are only my requests for songs that has only a few chances to get ported:


Estranger - Vangough (this one I'd really love, because I'm not expecting it to sell well despite being a great song and perfect for RB)
Into the Black Light - Ghost Brigade
anything by Devin Townsend (do you hate this guy? Waiting for the full album?)

I have NO official information on this, so this is pure speculation, but it seems like a valid theory: As I'm sure you know, the entire Ziltoid album is coming to the RBN with specific wacky vocals and "game breaking" authoring decisions and etc to make the album more immersive to players. All of this is introduced through ZTO, the album's first track. However, ZTO is the ONLY Ziltoid track to be released before RBN2.0 was released. And since they've stopped porting RBN1 songs to the PS3, it seems like ZTO won't make it over. And without that frame of reference for the rest of the album, a lot of players would probably be lost/confused/mad with a lot of the other tracks.

Having said that, the demand for Devin seems to be high enough that I'd have to imagine HMX is working on /some/ idea for porting it over, probably once the full album has been released (current release: 5/9 songs).

Again, this is all rampant speculation on my part, so don't take any of this as truth, but just as a theory.

RB3 Version? Are there notable keys and/or harmonies that the RBN1.0 version couldn't and didn't chart?

We've debated this in the past. There are keys, but due to the way we received the stems, they're un-authorable (hence why you haven't seen them in any of the RBN2 ziltoid songs). We also worry about having too many options, since all the Ziltoid stuff is released with 2x bass pedal versions. So having ZTO, ZTO (2x bass pedal version), ZTO (RB3 Version, and ZTO (RB3 Version) (2x Bass Pedal Version) all in the store seems pretty crazy. It's certainly an idea we're debating though, if it means that the whole album will get ported over to the PS3. Especially with precedent being set by some of the Texas In July songs getting RB3 versions of both standard and 2x charts just to add pro drums and (maybe?) gang vocals on harmonies.

So, that's a long answer to your question. Long story short, there are harmonies that we could probably chart. There are keys we can't. Doing both regular and 2x versions in RBN2.0 would result in an excessive amount of options. It all depends on what the community is willing to tolerate, and if this move would potentially allow for a porting to PS3.
