Why do we users on ps3 NEED songs, when technically most of us WANT songs. As for my request, I want more variety. None of this stuff that people request every day in here, more of the hidden gems.

Are authors allowed to modify charts before porting? I got an email from an author at TheAuthority saying that (if his memory was correct) they were allowed to update a chart to add pro drum markers before porting to PS3, but I can see that being a special case and not allowed anymore.

We cant modify charts before porting, i know we can pull songs before they hit the 360 store if there is a problem. Even with that pro drum markers are required and no song cant, not have them. I hope this answers your question

Thanks, I know that all songs now must have pro drums. Since the guy from TheAuthority said they were allowed to update songs before porting to PS3 to add pro drum markers (this was for RBN1.0 songs BTW), I thought maybe you guys were allowed to make small edits before porting. However, I'm guessing that the ability to update songs was only for a limited time, or that his memory was mistaken.

    Thanks for the info

You are completely right. There are a lot of RBN threads that deal with similar discussions, so I kind of forgot that this was the PS3 specific thread. >_>

This question comes up from time to time. I'm not aware of this ever having happened. The nature and structure of the RBN/Sony pipeline would make that extraordinarily difficult.

I imagine this was a highly special case or something that slipped by Harmonix, not something they would have outright suggested.

    I could be wrong though.
