Sorry, sorry, just had to =P

But yeah feel free to ignore it, even if I would love to be able to play my own song in the future. Hopefully enough people will enjoy it enough to want it over.

I will stop being sneaky now, honest. I honestly didn't see how bad it was to do that before now heh, silly brain making it hard to think properly.

Hey, go easy on yourself. When your user name is "Nightmare Lyre" and your band name is "Nightmare Lyre", requesting your own song doesn't exactly count as sneaky, y'know? I mostly took it for a joke.

For a little transparency - I'm not wild about authoring companies requesting PS3 ports of songs they authored because there's an obvious ulterior motive (profit through expanding content onto another console).

I'm not saying that authors don't connect to the music they work on - after countless hours of listening, tweaking, and testing, how could they not? - but it's not the same as knowing that you started with a blank page and created something that had never existed before.

(Yes, my personal roots as a composer are showing here.)

Also, if you weren't a PS3 player, that would be another matter. Because, while you might be hoping for a larger audience, you wouldn't personally be planning to purchase your song and play it and show it off.

But I think the situation is a little different when you're an artist. More personal. And as an artist and a PS3 player, of course you have connection to your own music, and of course you're hoping it will come out on the console you own. I do get that.

So - there's absolutely no harm done with the request, and I'd hardly call it "sneaky". I mean, I'll tease you about it, but you deserve it. So no worries.

Hey just wanted to drop in and say awesome job getting "Not Fade Away" into the game. An updated version of the original by an original. Looking forward to it Tuesday. This stuff is just as fun and challenging as metal to play, it's the most straight-up rock in the game that you can get, really pure, and hard hitting! This is what makes Rock Band really rock!
