Definitely need some more European Death/Black Metal! Really sick of all the metalcore bands making it into the list almost every week....

    Wanted List:
    Septicflesh - Anubis
Rotting Christ - Fire Death and Fear
Ghost Brigade - Into the Black Light
    Solution .45 - Lethean Tears
    Watain - Underneath the Cenotaph

There are also a bunch of bands that I would like to be see on here:
    Edge of Sanity
    Bloodbath
    Katatonia
    Barren Earth
    Alcest
    Disillusion
    Wintersun
    Celtic Frost
    Decapitated
    Omnium Gatherum
    Absu

I understand that my choices and suggestions may not be the most popular, but I guess I need to voice my opinion somehow. Your work is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If we don't get the rest of the Pacman Fever album I'm gonna be pissed because they released the first half already on ps3 =/ I know it has reached the time constraint so what gives??

the time constraint is a minimum, so I find it funny that you expect something to come out right after, or soon after, and songs may take months before getting ported. even in the last few updates there's been songs released on PS3 that were on xbox for months and months..

We're all weavers at the loom of slaughter, but we will rise and make these victims our martyrs.

    We now know:
    1) There's marked enthusiasm for 2x bass pedal songs on PS3. When both versions became available simultaneously, the split between regular and bass was about 50/50.
    2) But it looks like most PS3 players won't want to rebuy a song just because it's now available in a 2x bass version. When the normal version had already been released, the split dropped to something more like 75/25.

    From this, we have concluded:
    3) The ideal situation for releasing PS3 2x bass songs is when we can release both versions simultaneously.

But it's important to keep in mind:
    4) Our standard release for PS3 is 5 songs. We have no expectation of this changing. Being able to release more than 5 songs is a rare occurrence that we can't guarantee on any kind of schedule.

    Also, we believe:
    5) A 2x bass song should never "take away" a PS3 slot from the regular version of a song. (As a parallel, RBN authors are not permitted to release a 2x bass pedal version to Xbox without also releasing a regular version.)
    6) It isn't fair to our PS3 audience if we significantly delay releasing the regular version of a song in the hope of releasing it simultaneously with its 2x version.

So - those are the factors we're considering as we examine the possibility of any future 2x release. Yes, there is a chance - but we're balancing some complex factors, and we haven't ruled any songs out or in, because we don't have a time slot for another 10-song release (or any assurance that we'll find one - everything is completely hypothetical right now).

I hope this analysis gives some useful insight, even if it isn't the news you hoped for.
Just a suggestion which everyone (ps3 rbn audience) might not be thrilled with:

Release just one 2x bass song a month, this would eat up a slot leaving only 19 instead of 20 for all new songs a month for ps3 but I think in general people would appreciate it. People would only be missing out on 12 songs a year which isn't much considering all of the songs already available.
Most of the time you could release the 2x version alongside the regular version as well, with exceptions for older songs that the 2x version for xbox sold really well. What do you guys(forums) think?
Faith No More is a perfect fit for Rock Band 3 dlc

This might be the best solution on this matter, one 2x Bass song every four weeks or so. There could still be complaining, but probably not that much.

And they can't make a one-time exception for two songs that would unlock goals that their game is supposed to support?

We actually can't. The system required to process a RBN 1.0 song is dramatically different from the system required to process a RBN 2.0 song, and the two are incompatible. Back when we shifted over from RBN1 to RBN2 on PS3, we had to delay PS3 song releases for three weeks during the pipeline change. If we change back to RBN 1.0, there will be another delay of 2-3 weeks... and then there will be another delay when we change back to RBN 2.0.

This is why I am strongly opposed to releasing any more RBN 1.0 songs on the PS3. The PS3 Rock Band audience deserves a steady stream of the best RBN content we can provide. The PS3 has experienced enough unavoidable delays already, and I don't want to cause any avoidable delays.
