Glad to hear the game was a success! Beating this game is not easy, you really have to work for it.

    Did everyone enjoy it?

I know the last time I played a two player game, both of us played with two investagators to make things easier. Four is the magic number with the game...
Pushing 50 and still rockin' like a teen, only now I can afford it and it takes longer to recover.

Two of them really liked the game, I'm not so sure about the third... but that might have had something to do with her getting tired as the evening progressed.
My wife and I will probably give it one more go with one character each once she's back from her business trip tomorrow, and otherwise we'll go the two characters each route as well.

As for Magic, the community outrage over the double-faced cards is hilarious. 'Oh, noez, I'll have to take them out of their sleeves while playing! The world is ending!'
I think the only ones wth a legitimate gripe are the draft players, but even then it's not THAT big a deal.

I was heavy into Magic when Invasion came out as that was when one of my friends introduced me to the game, but then after Invasion rotated out of type 2 and my cards fell hard in price was when I switched to casual magic. I gave 3 of my friends DOMAIN decks that I made from the Invasion block made of commons and uncommons and that got them hooked and since then we play every Friday night at my buddies and the release of the Commander pre-cons turned me onto the EDH format which I absolutely love as well as my friends. I have 8 EDH decks and 32 (60+) card decks all still constructed and playable, yes I have a problem :-)
Bands I want in Rock Band: C,S,N & Y, Pink Floyd, ELO, Cream, Genesis, Donovan & The Moody Blues.

Innistrad has got me getting back into MTG. Really cool cards! This is the deck me and my cousin put together for me to use. It's a work in progress until we get a few more cards to swap in. Eventually getting 4x Honor Of The Pure would be nice and maybe 2 or 3 Angelic Destinys. I dig Puresteel Paladin as a low cost creature in here too cuz it's not too rare for me to have an amulet and two equipments out...

I played the Innistrad sealed deck prerelease, and despite getting lucky with my boosters (Balefire Dragon, Falkenrath Marauders and Bloodline Keeper are awesome bombs, and I had a lot of good red/black cards to make a good aggro deck), I had the worst streak of mana screw I've ever had. Against all but one opponent, I either had no mana or drew only mana, leading to me getting crushed pretty easily. A pity, because in those games with a normal mana flow, my deck came out swinging really hard. Still had a lot of fun, though.

I also got the Dunwich Horror expansion for Arkham Horror as an early birthday gift from my friends in Antwerp last weekend. Can't wait to play it sometime, although that still might be a while. We do have a boardgame night planned this week, but since a new friend of mine from my theater class will be attending, I doubt we'll break out the expansion (if we play AH at all), because I don't think she's ever played the basic game yet.

Oh, here I am! I started playing magic in 2003 with 8th ed/mirrodin, and I'm still playing. Well, I stopped over an year ago, when WOTC came out with the brilliant idea of revolutioning the whole extended format. When modern magic was first announced I started playing heavily, making tons of decks, as well as a LOT of my friends that stopped years ago.

About the innstrad thing: It's very fun for limited format, draft over sealed (I hate sealed btw) but it's very, very difficult to draft. It's hard to decide which color to build your deck into, as it's a format FULL of bombs as well as 2 per 1 effects. Other than limited, it's a bad, bad set. Except for the dual lands and few other cards (about 20) it's unplayable in constructed format. T2 slowed down a LOT and it's horrible right now, imo.

As someone who started playing with revised (although I dabbled with the beta and unlimited cards a friend of mine had), sealed deck will always be my favorite MtG format because it comes closest to how we played 'back in the day', before there was any real metagame to speak of.

Yeah, I think that almost everyone plays that way at the beginning. That's why we also play commander: just to be able to use old card that everyone almost forgot.

I usually just play Standard with my friends since for the most part we only have cards from the most recent few sets. Might get down with a draft tomorrow though. I wish I knew where my old cards were!

I have been thinking of jumping on a Legacy tournament with my Rats and my newly revised Ooze deck.

If anyone wants something fun to look up, go to Gatherer and look up Devoted Druid and Quillspike. Now look up Whispersilk Cloak and name a fun number. I had 3 Trillion.
This needs a good ol' Rick Flair - WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
