    Metallica library?

Anyone hear anything about Metallica's songs coming to Rock Band now that Guitar Hero is done?

Weve not heard anything im afraid? All we can do is read between the lines either way you look at it ie no more (non-exporting songs) or plenty more (recent pro upgrade to a legacy metallica track).
Hoping for more british music on RB Blitz

They confirmed Metallica: Rock Band weeks ago. Where the hell were you?
8/9/11 (Def Leppard) will be marked as the best day in RB history for me. HMX, major thanks for all this amazing DLC you put out!

Guitar Hero is being rebooted, so they probably have held on to their exclusive songs.

    Maybe or maybe not.
My hope isn't lost though - I mean, if they have a Metallica T-shirt in the character customization in RB3, they paid the rights for it. And if Metallica allowed the rights to be conceded, they might as well provide the series with more songs (including bringing Enter Sandman and Battery back to the series, upgraded).

    Dear HMX,

Please make the dream of thousands of players come true and release a Celebration Day Track Pack.

You're right, they MIGHT AS WELL. I'm sure licensing the band logo was financially comparable to licensing songs, and I bet licensing the band logo DEFINITELY means that their exclusivity contract with GH is magically ended.

I'm disappointed. I thought Guitar Hero being dead meant the very next week we were going to start seeing Metallica and Van Halen DLC.

I remember not too long ago on the HMX Facebook there was a poll asking about full albums people would want - AJFA was one of the choices. Unfortunately, Linkin Park was also on the list and if I remember they clobbered everyone... It does go to show that HMX is definitely interested (they'd be fools not to - Metallica would sell like crazy).
