Sticking with my Taylor Swift prediction.
    It's spelled "More".

Yes, and they also broke up weeks after Supersonic was licensed.

You don't really know how long HMX holds some songs. Dance Dance has been floating around as a rumour since 2007

Yes, but they would have had to relicense for RB3's featureset, and possibly again after the MTV split.

I'm not saying we only get bands that are still together. That'd be stupid. But to everyone who IS implying I'm saying that, feel free to realize you're equating...The Beatles to Fall Out Boy. I doubt FOB OR their label expects their music to last a long time, so why license it out? They're not making new stuff, so they have nothing to promote. FOB is very much a radio band, as you can tell by the songs we have being radio hits and promotional singles. Their label can easily focus on licensing OTHER material by bands still around and get more out of it.

This is true. They don't exactly make "songs for the ages". It's not about bands being together; Kurt Cobain is dead and I'm sure he's not dealing from beyond the grave (although I hope he is). FOB is just one of those fad flash in the pan kind of bands. Fun and popular on the radio, not going to be on any classic rock stations in 20 years.

So license to Rock Band and make as much money as they possibly can while people still remember them?

Although I enjoy FOB, I have to agree on this point. The best they'll likely achieve is the status of being the summary of this "punk-pop-emo" genre ala Poison with glam rock.
