Ramírez guitar in The Beatles Rock Band

    Hello,

I'm from Spain and this is my first post here. i apologize for my bad English language...

I'm trying to find if the subject of Beatles guitars displayed on the game was ever discussed here, mainly the Spanish Ramirez guitar, used by George Harrison on some songs (=the most Known example is 'And I Love Her'), and that can be seen played by John Lennon on 'Michelle' at the game...

I would very much appreciate your help on this subject...

Thanks in advance and best wishes from Spain!!

I'm afraid I didn't explain myself properly. The question is: why and how was the Ramírez guitar included on TBRB?? Who made that decission??

Thanks in advance and best wishes!!

Michelle's an acoustic song, so HMX virtually created an acoustic guitar. Simple as that.

EDIT: Ah, I see what you mean. No source states necessarily that John played the Ramírez guitar. Maybe either Apple's/EMI's contributors said John played that guitar in that song, or...dare I say it...A Hard Day's Night full album DLC confirmed?!

That's obviously the only reasonable explanation!
When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! I DON'T WANT YOUR DAMN LEMONS, WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THESE?

In 2008 I started a research about the Spanish guitars used by The Beatles. I researched Ramírez archives in Madrid, where I could unearth some interesting facts about Harrison Ramírez guitar, and I gave a conference about that at Ramírez shop in Madrid on 9 May 2009.

By Summer 2009, Amalia Ramírez, the owner of Ramírez workshop in Madrid, wrote to me asking for a brief text about George Harrison Ramírez guitar, based of my findings given at the conference at her shop a few months earlier, and telling that Harmonix had contacted her to include the guitar at the game. Shortly after that, I could read an abreviated form of my text at The Beatles Rock Band website, under the Partners heading for the José Ramírez section.

I wonder if HMX is planning to include the Ramírez in other forthcoming songs for TBRB...

Pelase, excuse my poor Engish language...

    Best!!

Looks like you've done a lot of research, that's cool.

Regarding if the Ramíres guitar will be in future songs in TB:RB, it isn't even sure if there'll be any more songs for the game. But if would be some new songs, where it takes place in the Abbey Road studios and there is at least one member playing acoustic guitar it might happen that the guitar shows up. So there's many factors if the guitar will be in the game again.

    Thank you very much, Arsenal-Lad!!

Yes: I'm trying to do my best with the research about this guitar. In fact, I'm still researching, and that is why I registered in this Forum...

I guess some of the developers of TBRB visit this Forum sometimes..., correct?? I hope they read this thread...

BTW: as I'm trying to summarize the reception of the Ramirez guitar, I guess that "Michelle" was released on 15 December 2009 as a DLC..., wasn't it??

If so, this would mean that the Ramírez was seen at TBRB in December 2009 for the first time...

    Best wishes from Spain!!

No, it's not, BUT the fact that the Ramírez is only referenced as being on that song makes me suspicious of future release.

But it's the same speculation us forum members have had for 1 1/2 years w/o any DLC to show for it

    Oh, I see...

Anyway, it looks odd for me that Harmonix did ask Amalia Ramirez for permission to display the guitar on the game, and don't include it on 'And I Love Her'...

    Best!!
