My Rock Band 4 song list

I thought it would be fun to make a Rock Band 4 song list, so here it is. It's 83 songs long, and I tried to keep it pretty balanced. Songs that are bolded don't have keyboard support. (There are only 16). I had a lot of fun making this, so tell me what you think.

So that's the list, here's how it all breaks down by decade and genre:

    Decades
    50's- 3
    60's- 9
    70's- 17
    80's- 13
    90's- 18
    00's- 20
    10's- 3

    Genres
    Alternative- 12
    Blues Rock- 4
    Classic Rock- 13
    Electronic- 2
    Folk Rock- 2
    Hip Hop- 1
    Indie- 3
    Metal- 8
    New Wave- 4
    Pop/Rock- 8
    Progressive Rock- 5
    Punk- 5
    R&B/Funk/Soul- 4
    Rock- 8
    Rock And Roll- 3
    Southern Rock- 1

I also have a few notes:
    1) Keyboard Support- I admit that some songs with keyboard support don't actually have keyboard. Like in Superstition the keyboard is trumpet, in Down Under the keyboard is flute, and in Blackbird and other songs with multiple guitar the keyboard is one of the guitars. It doesn't really matter, though.

    2) Vocal Harmony- I didn't post anything about this, because I don't quite get what it is. I've only had Rock Band 3 for a month, and have never done vocals in any Rock Band game. I may get something up about it, but I'm not sure.

    3) Song Choices- I mostly picked music I like and listen to, so that's why there is a lot of alternative and classic, but not a lot of metal. I tried to keep this balanced, and incorporate a lot of genres. I also picked a couple just to be evil. Can you imagine Scatman on vocals? I also considered including all twenty minutes of Close to the Edge, but I only included part 1.

So tell me what you think of my list and how I can make it better.

I like the list! It's got a lot of stuff that I would find eligible for DLC and setlist inclusion. By the dubs, I'm pretty sure Burnin' for You has keys (synth or organ) in it. Just saying.
I would throw in some more, well, songs personally. It's rather short.

    Your 50s are okay.

    60's (9 Songs)
The Animals- House Of The Rising Sun- Folk Rock- Good
Cream- Crossroads- Classic Rock- Either this, White Room, or Sunshine of Your Love
Deep Purple- Hush- Classic Rock- This or Fireball
Jimi Hendrix- All Along The Watchtower- Blues Rock- Any Hendrix will do.
King Crimson- 21st Century Schizoid Man- Progressive Rock- Good

    70's (16 Songs)
Aerosmith- Dream On- Classic Rock- Any Aerosmith song will do.
The Allman Brothers Band- The Whipping Post- Southern Rock- I heard this was a really long song.
Bruce Springsteen- Born To Run- Rock- good
Derek And The Dominoes- Layla- Blues Rock- Good
The Dire Straits- Sultans Of Swing- Classic Rock- Good
Electric Light Orchestra- Evil Woman- Rock- Good
Heart- Magic Man- Classic Rock- Good
Led Zeppelin- Since I've Been Loving You- Blues Rock- Rights or something, but I really don't care.
Pink Floyd- Comfortably Numb- Progressive Rock- Same as Led Zeppelin
The Rolling Stones- Brown Sugar- Classic Rock- Good
    Stevie Wonder- Superstition- R&B/Funk/Soul- Good

    80's (13 Songs)
Blue Oyster Cult- Burnin' For You- Rock- Good
    Cinderella- Nobody's Fool- Metal- Good
Eurythmics- Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)- New Wave- Good
Guns N' Roses- Sweet Child O' Mine- Metal- Another hard to license song.
Joan Jett- I Hate Myself For Loving You- Punk- Good
    Lipps, Inc.- Funkytown- R&B/Funk/Soul- Good
Men At Work- Down Under- New Wave- Good
Nena- 99 Red Balloons- New Wave- Good
The Scorpions- Rock You Like A Hurricane- Metal- Good
    Van Halen- Jump- Rock- Good

    90's (19 Songs)
Lenny Kravitz- Fly Away- R&B/Funk/Soul- Good, but I thought this was more Rock

    00's (20 Songs)
    Coldplay- Violet Hill- Alternative- Good
    Hoobastank- The Reason- Pop/Rock- Good
Muse- Map Of The Problematique- Alternative- I haven't heard this song, but any Muse could do

I would buy this game for... 36% of the set-list. But that's just me.

Vocal Harmony= More than one person singing.

Not bad. I think the indie genre could've been treated better.

I don't like the Metal selection. About half the Metal songs are Hair Metal. The Metallica song I've already played on GH and for me personally it isn't a very interesting to play song either (at least on expert guitar/bass for myself.). Also I don't care for one of the Power Metal songs and the other I don't know, so I'll check it out. But I think you should have different sub-genres of Metal since in this you only have 3 (I'm assuming Queensrych is Hair Metal, though some might consider them Progressive?). One of those three has about half the Metal songs. Some sub-genre suggestions would be: Melodic Death Metal, Heavy Metal, Neo-classical Metal, Speed Metal, and Black metal. Also I'd prefer the songs that are Power Metal and Thrash Metal in this list be changed.

All suggestions, this is basically just what I like/would want so if you did everything I wanted. Then that'd be good for me but probably wouldn't please others as much as myself. By the way I don't like all of those Metal sub-genres a whole lot which I suggested. But it's good to have variety sometimes. Also if you want, I could suggest some bands.

Other wise the list looks pretty good in my opinion but overall with the current Metal selection I'd give it a 6/10. (I'm a big Metal fan and if I don't really like the Metal selection, then a person's overall score out of 10 could go down 5 points, sometimes worse, but the list of other songs sounds good to me. So you get 6/10).

Edit. I totally forgot about that Stone Sour song. So that's Nu-Metal? Well I guess I was wrong about the exact number of Metal sub-genres but I still don't like it that about half of it's Hair Metal.

Edit #2. I forgot to say. Why no Metal in the 90's?

Now that you've mentioned it, that's a terrible Helloween choice. "If I Could Fly" doesn't define them for what they really are.

Roxorspades: Thanks, I'm glad you like it. You're right about Burnin' For You, I'll go edit that in. I actually had about 100 songs on this list at first, but then I realized that a lot of them were available as DLC, so I took them off. Also, 83 songs is the exact length of Rock Band 3. I may add a few more, but I like the length of it now.

DanManRocker: I guess Fly Away would be more Rock than R&B etc., but I wanted to have more than just three, and it is considered funk rock. Thanks for telling me what the vocal harmony was. I thought it was more than one singing at once, but I wasn't sure. I'll post a list with vocal harmony in a little bit.

FlyGuyLXI: I agree. I may add a few more in. About the Helloween song: I picked it because it's the only one I know well and like. It also has a good keyboard part.

MegalronDragonDeth: Most of the songs on my list are songs I like, and I don't care for metal. I don't really see the point of putting songs I don't like on my "ultimate setlist".

Ok. Because I wasn't sure what kind of setlist you were going for. Some people try to make setlists that please everyone and some make setlists that just mainly please them. I was giving suggestions, if you were trying to please everyone, but I guess you aren't.

I like this setlist. Sure, the metal and indie rock is lacking, but if you don't care for them, you shouldn't be forced to add what you don't like just for other people. There are a lot of good songs in the pop-rock, alternative and classic rock areas, and have some of those songs that (for me) scream "Just buy me already!"

Very few female-fronted bands. I'm not asking you to pick songs you don't like, but you should consider putting in at least two or three more songs from the girls. Mainly in the 2000s-2010s. They can be whatever you like, but for balance, that's a factor that a lot of people seem to forget.
