Fav bands at the moment:
Sloan
The Distillers
The Beatles
Stars
Elvis Costello
Those bottom two will probably switch out for other bands throughout the years, the top three have been rather permanent for a while now.

The first two are likely to be permanent, the other three change sometimes. A few weeks ago Devendra Banhart would've been a solid 5 but I haven't listened to the bearded folkie since then.

My top songs changes frequently depending on the mood I'm in, but my top five bands is pretty consistent.
Tool
Alice In Chains
Creedance Clearwater Revival
Guns N' Roses
Stone Temple Pilots
Having seen Tool in person is an experience I'll never forget, and meeting the current Alice In Chains lineup still has me in a daze. I had a cast on my left arm thanks to a wild night out on my 30th birthday, and even though the band was only supposed to sign two things for me, they signed my cast in addition to the other two things. (Jerry Cantrel saw my cast and wrote "OZZY" on the knuckles stating "I have to do this for you.") When the time came to take a picture, I instinctively kneeled down in the front of the four band members as I felt they should take up the bulk of the photo. Sean Kinney grabbed me by the back of my collar and pulled me up saying "Stand up man. You are one of us right now. No need to get on your knees." I have a smile on my face in those photos that is still here with me. The entire band was incredibly awesome to me, and getting to just randomly shoot the **** with Sean, Mike, Will, and Jerry was amazing. The show they then put on was insane as well. I still have the cast that they signed as the technician who cut it off is a HUGE AiC fan as well and made sure to preserve all the signatures. It's a night I will NEVER forget.![]()

1.) The Doors
2.) Stone Temple Pilots
3.) Nine Inch Nails
4.) Nightwish
5.) Blutengel
Honorable mentions (since that seems to be the thing to do in this thread) for me would be such a long list it would border on stupid. It's hard to pin-point 5 bands out of the decades of music and pick just five. My top five are subject to change at a moments notice and without fanfare or warning. I do believe that The Doors do in fact have a permanent reserved spot, however.

But I believe in this and it's been tested by research: he who [edit] nuns will later join the church.
