Yeah, I was a little surprised, but then I saw BYU had 33 votes in the AP poll, so it wasn't as bad a close win as it was Auburn vs. Utah State

I saw an interesting point made a little while ago...the worst team in the SEC by far (Vandy) beat the Big East's BCS bowl representative (UConn). Next year, TCU is going to be in a "better" conference with significantly easier competition. West Virginia is the only remotely legitimate program in that joke of a conference and they still suck.

Right but TCU defected to a confrence that gets an automatic BCS bid because Utah did that, though Utah went to the Pac 12, which is better than the Big East in football. Maybe TCU wants to get in a big time Basketball conference?!?

My recollection is that the Big East invited them (which, again if I remember right, is the only way schools can join the Big East). They just went "BCS money? Hell yes!". They're already at the bottom of a decent conference in basketball; I just don't see how they expect to succeed in that college-level street basketball league.

They'll go winless in conference games until their recruiting gets them enough paid athletes to win a few games.

I simply must rain on this parade. Defense looked better but not by much. It should improve steadily over the next few years that you have a coach who know what defense is but Shoelace is going to have to keep putting the team on his back when the defense gives up leads. That said, I think the 'rines are going to benefit significantly from a down year for the Big Ten. Nebraska and MSU are going to be rough but luckily you don't play Wisky. Of course, I suspect the only game that matters to Michigan fans this year is 11/26.

I give Michigan one more year before it is good enough to beat Michigan State or OSU. MSU should be much easier next year, because they won't have Cousins anymore, so they will probably have a down year.

I think UM will beat MSU and OSU this year. they have two turner game before the big ten play starts to tighten the D. Also with OSU almost losing to a mac team and all that gone on I don't think they will do well this year.
