And Indy kicked it off to that man.

    <--- Still chuckling at that.
Two things. We won that championship, so the kick to Devin Hester is irrelevant.

And the other. You might want to look at the box scores and stat lines for those two playoff games. The Sex Cannon dismantled the opposition and took the Bears to the Super Bowl.

Broncos have just put Orton on waivers, some teams that I would think might be interested; Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Miami and possibly Indy. My guess is he goes to Chicago (yes I see the irony in that).

Idiots. We all knew this was going to happen. They had a chance to pawn him off to Miami but wanted too much. Now they'll get nothing. This kind of mismanagement is what causes teams like Denver to suck for so long.

Actually there was a great article in the Denver Post earlier this season (written by Woody Paige...who Ive met in person many times and is EXACTLY how he is on TV...one crazy dude) talking about the trade. Apparently what happened is everything was set to go though, Denver OKd it, John Fox OKd it, Tony Sporano OKd it, but the front office of the Dolphins (namely Jeff Ireland) didnt like the deal and didnt think Orton was worth it and stopped the deal hours before it would have happened.

How true is that? Idk...but either way Orton wont not have a team for long, apparently the Bears have confirmed they have put a claim on him. The question is now if anyone else does. The Chiefs and Texans are other possible options that rumors are starting to come out of that could take him that have priority over Chicago (Texans bc of strength of schedule).

I still think by this time tomorrow Orton is a Bear again.

I don't think anyone was thinking Indy wouldn't win the Championship, I certainly didn't. Did the Bears have a chance? Sure, but Peyton's a great QB and that '06 Indy team was awesome. So it was amusing watching them give up that opening kick return after what Hester did on special teams all season; though I suppose it's a morale downer to tell your team, "We can't cover this guy, just kick it away." (like they did the rest of the game)

As for the playoff games, you might want to check your box scores again. Rex threw well against Seattle and mediocre against NO. I wouldn't call these lines a dismantling of the opposition:
    SEA - 21/38 282 YDS 55% CMP% 1 TD 1 INT
    NO - 11/26 144 YDS 42% CMP% 1 TD 0 INT.

In fact, in that NO game the defense forced 4 TOs (3 fumbles and 1 INT) and had 3 sacks. If you want to analyze it further, look at the drive chart for the NO game. You really only need to look at the starting positions on each drive. The Seattle game Rex played well. The NO game, not so much. Anyone who watched that '06 season would tell you the Bears were strong on defense and not so threatening on offense, especially with inconsistent Rex.

that's more than debatable, Riles. even if that is true, my spider senses tell me it'll be more because of his legs than his arm.
