Forget drama, the way he plays is just so much fun to watch. I think they're a legit Super Bowl contender too although that means virtually nothing. If they end up playing the Packers in the playoffs again it could be one for the ages.

absolutely, Im not trying to take away from what the eagles can accomplish. I hate them with a passion, but Im actually proud of what Vick has done. Talk to me shortly after he got out of prison, I would've been shouting with the crowd that was hating on him, but to his credit, he was extremely remorseful and followed his words with action. Bottom line: he learned his lesson and isn't being a ***** about it, or making quotes in newspapers, like Plax and his trigger happy finger has been.

My point is simply being made from the perspective of the fan who looks for playoffs chases. I dont see the NFC East being much of a show; Philly can easily run away with it (and yeah, I know it's just Week 1...). hence my comment "why watch the NFC East?"

Well one thing's pretty certain in this world. If it's a close game and late in the 4th quarter, or it's a playoff game, Tony Romo WILL choke and choke severely. Wow. He just obviously doesn't have the mental ability to deal with the pressure. The few seasons he has under his belt just prove that.

The joke I heard on the radio this morning was that Romo couldn't get into his house last night. Someone painted a goal line in his driveway.

NO, TB, and ATL are in the South. The East is Philly's to lose without a doubt. Detroit is an unknown entity at this point but I simply can't pick them to compete for a playoff berth. They've won 6, 2, and 0 games in the last three years and haven't been to the playoffs since 1999. That just doesn't add up for me.

Ah dang, yeah I meant the South. The East is easily Philly's to lose, and that race won't even be close.

I have a little more positive thinking for Detroit, I guess. I think this might be their breakout year. I'm playing the schedule game, and looking at theirs I can see them easily winning 8, possibly even 9. They can beat Minnesota twice, KC this week, @Dallas, SF, Atlanta (?), @Denver, Carolina. I wouldn't even put it past them to beat the Bears once. (and I'm a Chicago fan through and through)

I think the BET documentary was a little excessive but I agree. As recently as a couple months ago before I looked into it at all I thought the guy was scum but he's been pure class ever since he got out and has been active with the HSUS. I'm always impressed when someone is able to turn a life around like that and the talk of "redemption" isn't solely based on on-the-field success like a certain other QB in Pennsylvania.

Fair enough. You asked if there was any reason to watch the NFC East...I gave you the only reason I can think of.

I'm too cynical to think that a team with an 8-40 record over the last three years is going to make it to the playoffs. Stranger things have happened, but...I'll believe it when I see it.

Bill Leavy, the ref responsible for the horrifically atrocious calls at Superbowl XL to ref this Sunday's Seahawks-Steelers game.

Apparently the NFL is afraid of Pittsburgh losing to a team starting Tavaris Jackson.

Sorry. Still bitter about that stupid Tuck Rule crap that almost made it seem like the game was fixed the way it turned out.

Maybe the Tuck Rule will happen again when the Raiders play the Pats this season.
