I really like my headset but any chat mic will do. I use THIS when I am not using the headphones.

I just use a cheap blue tooth headset. Once I figured out how to get it to work, it seems to work fine.

(FYI, sink it with your PS3 in the XMB but then remember to turn it on in the PS3 every time you're going to use it. This can be done from the XMB in game, without exiting it. It's all listed under accessory settings)

I just noticed in the XMB under audio settings (Which is where I had to turn on the blue tooth) it's registering my RB mic. I'm guessing you could theoretically use that too, although it would be awkward picking it up and using the controller at the same time. I'm guessing that's probably why I have to turn on the headset each time, the PS3 doesn't know which one I want to use.

Cool..I have a Bluetooth headset, same as both of you that I use for RB... Just didn't try while in BF online this afternoon and wanted to be prepared. I'm DLing Karkand now through the PS Store...says it'll take 18 min. more...be on after I install it.

Yeah, no sh*t, especially for the 4th attempt...not sure why since my connection is normally pretty fast. And what the hell do they need 1.3G worth of content anyway? Was the game that muffed up to begin with???

Well then my Internet is muffed up...it still says 13 minutes. Thing is hardly moving.

and i don't think it was ****ed up. but what you're getting is 4 maps and another play mode. its a pretty big expansion. plus new vehicles, weapons, yadda yadda yadda.
