Ill give that a go. I was using quick match, so I guess that may have just thrown me into any match rather than a well connected one

I've stopped using quickmatch. It tends to throw you into a private server and I prefer the ones run by Dice. Even using the filter it still takes some time finding a good Dice server.

I think all the ones I had today were private. Ill look for DICE ones next time, probably be far more playable for me than the privates. Though having a 100 hundred ticket Sqd DM match was fun

Since you bought BF3 on the PS3 you get BF1943 for free. (Say that five times fast)

I'm not sure how you redeem it, I already owned BF1943. It's a fun game but simple. 3 maps and you can't switch weapons but still very hectic and the WW2 setting is fun.

interesting...but I'm guessing since I'll probably only be playing BF3 online with you guys, it's not worth the download for me. just in case, though, do you remember how big the file is?

It's under a gig. It's not that big. And even though the game is 3 years old there's still tons that play it.

Hmmm, that's not too bad. ...guess I'll download it tonight when I grab the RB songs and at least do the 1P walk-through for fun. Thanks for the info!

There is no single player. It's 3 infantry levels and 1 "plane only" level. It's vastly simpler than BF3 but at the same time that what gives it its charm.
