Hey guys,

We just heard from Audio that this week's DLC will be delayed one week on PS3 in Europe. However, all the RBN releases on PS3 in Europe should be available on time.

You realize for a sound to go off in the background of a song that's NOT supposed to be there, Harmonix would have had to record said cellphone going off, and INSERT that bit into the song, right? It's not like the mixer was adjusting volumes and forgot to set his phone on silent. Not really how it works. At all.


Look, at roughly 1:53ish here, Harmonix also screwed up and had a cellphone go off.

I'll admit I had to ask about it. Is sure sounds like a cell phone.

I've always wondered about those sounds in those Clash songs, very weird.

I don't know about the beep in "Should I Stay or Should I Go," but since the "Dixie" riffs are timed with the song, I figure they had to be intentional. While there weren't cell phones when "Rock the Casbah" was released, there were watches and other handheld electronics that could play tones like that. I'm pretty sure a watch I owned at the time played that same "Dixie" pattern, or one very close to it.

Maybe it's supposed to be the alarm going off, signaling when the jet pilots should drop their bombs?

I don't know if the RB audio is more compressed or what, but where it sounds like an XBox achievement sound in RB, in the mix at that link above (at roughly 1:35) it just sounds like a quick muted pluck of strings on the guitar.

Unless I'm missing the joke, then just ignore everything I posted. XD

I love it when bands put in odd sounds; it just feels more mysterious. :P
