OK, I've never owned any Guitar Hero games but there are some great songs on these lists. Here's my question...are all these listed songs available as a full band with vocals as well as guitars? I'm loving the 80's pack, the Aerosmith pack, VH pack and a bunch of DLC. And with the poor offerings (for my tastes) of late for Rock Band DLC, I'm thinking of picking up one of these games on the cheap.

GH1 is guitar only
GH2, 80s, 3, and Aerosmith are guitar and bass only

The rest is full band (guitar, bass, drums, vocals)

Exporting started with GHWT, so anything prior is banished to their respective games. I also believe Skid Row was a cover, as was 95% of that game.

No content pre GHWT has vocals.

Thanks for the info guys. One last question...if I were to buy Guitar Hero 5 (which seems to have the most songs for my tastes, including DLC), are the tracks from Guitar Hero: Van Halen downloadable like they are for Rock Band? Similarly, would I be able to buy GH: World Tour and also add those tracks to the game?

Oh, and the Rock Band mics are interchangeable, I assume. But the instruments are not compatible, correct? Any suggestions where the cheapest options would be for getting a couple guitars and the games?

Yes, but you need to buy new (I believe) copies of each other game you want to have and not all songs are available after exporting.
