I will buy the new thing and still get GTAV. My old xbox isnt going anywhere if, for what ever reason, the new thing isnt back-comp.

And then the new Xbox that sorts out the problems the launch one did.

Hell, they may even make it a dual console release, current gen and next gen. Rockstar hasn't done it before, but others have (Tony Hawk American Wasteland, Gun, Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess).

I'm sure CoD will try it. Rockstar's never been known for that so much even now putting a game on 2 systems is pushing it for them.

Just wait a little while. New games will flock to the old consoles for at least 3 or 4 years, the launch games won't be the best because companies were rushed or not used to the new console and the price will most likely have dropped or you'll get new features in the system not available from the launch ones.

Personally I'm not concerned with next gen consoles. Based on Microsoft's console track record, there's no way I'm getting the next Xbox until it's been out for at least a year.

Maybe it was pushed back so it could be on next gen consoles! Sports titles will be on both new and old for years to come. Im pretty sure this years 2k NBA game was the first to not be also on PS2 which is crazy.

I'm in the same boat as you can probably tell. If Microsoft were a first date, it would steal your shoes and force you to go out with it again to get them back.

I don't even give them that much credit. Microsoft is like a first date that just dies halfway through dinner, then you're just single again and need a new date.
