    Halloween Party Gig

Hey guys. So, recently my band (Spirit of Denial) has gotten a gig at an early Halloween Party this Saturday. We have about 18-20 songs right now. Why should you care? Well, you don't have to, I just wanted to show you guys what songs we were playing there.

    1ST SET
"Welcome Home" - Coheed and Cambria
    "Reptilia" - The Strokes
    "21 Guns" - Green Day
"I Love Rock N Roll" - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts

    2ND SET
    "Last Resort" - Papa Roach
    "Flagpole Sitta" - Harvey Danger
"Dance, Dance" - Fall Out Boy
"Seven Nation Army" - White Stripes

    3RD SET
    "Kryptonite" - 3 Doors Down
"My Own Worst Enemy" - Lit
    "Self Esteem" - Offspring
"For Whom the Bell Tolls" - Metallica

    4TH SET
    "Everlong" - Foo Fighters
"No More Sorrow" - Linkin Park
    "Basketcase" - Green Day
    "Hotel California" - The Eagles

    5TH SET
"All the Small Things" - blink-182
    "Fade to Black" - Metallica
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" - Nirvana
    "Crazy Train" - Ozzy Osbourne

This is our final setlist. When I am able to, I will put the songs in chronological order in which we played them. We have 5 sets of 4 songs. Please be patient for us to put the songs out.

Did you consider playing Marilyn Manson's version of "This is Halloween?"

I read the title as "Halloween Party Pig".

I've lived in the country too long.

If it's a Halloween themed gig, you might wanna throw in some Halloween themed songs. Like Rob Zombie, Manson, Ghostbusters, or something.

    Just a thought.

Dragula and Super Charger Heaven have my votes for some Rob Zombie additions.

He has Metallica. Just spread them out and dedicate them to halloween before you play them, that should work.

Well, we were thinking of having Halloween related tunes (IT WAS A MONSTER MASH!!!!!!!) but we just decided it was better off to play songs regularly, and all of the covers we have so far. I was wanting to do some Rob Zombie, but, sadly, our rhythm didn't want to have anything with him. I wanted to punch him the face, but no one else liked him.

Of course, I was pissed, cause Rob has some good drum beats (IMO), but, no one else wanted to. We just decided to do songs we liked, and here they are. And, thanks to our rhythm guitar, we may have to drop some songs cause he hasn't learned some of the songs.

Not to be di**, but you could drop him if he's not pulling his weight with the setlist. Happened with my brother's band and they grew stronger from it.

Of course, I don't know anything about your history with the rhythm guitarist so maybe it's not a great idea.

Really? If he's a decent player, he should be able to learn these songs in minutes. Probably the hardest song you guys are going to play is "Welcome Home" and that's intermediate level for the most part especially rhythm only, the rest of the songs are pretty much just chords. It sounds like laziness to me on your rhythm guitarists' part. If he's not pulling his weight, I wouldn't hesitate to kick him out.
