So many people are filling their hard drives with downloadable content from RB3. Is there an official forum thread somewhere here that can help Rock Band users copy over their hard drive contents to a larger hard drive, some kind of step by step guide? On the RB forums. It was supposed to be possible when PLAYSTATION NETWORK Plus was free for a month. Is it a requirement to be a PSN+ subscriber to be able to back up your hard drive and all the secure content, in order to move to a larger one?

If anyone can direct me to a forum post on how to upgrade the hard drive to a larger one in order to accommodate all of this mass of DLC, so I can continue getting more, it would be a help for anyone reading who is wondering the same thing.

    Thanks.

That's what I did too. It takes a while to copy everything over (both ways) but it's nice not to have to worry about space any more. Well, for a long time in any case.

As part of the process, I had to authorize my PS3 as a new device. I guess it sees the bigger drive and decides that it is no longer the same Playstation. There was really no way to deauthorize the 1st one, once I took the drive out. I suppose you can do that right before you physically remove it.

The good news is, you should be able to deauthorize your "old machine" from the Sony site at some point this month. The bad news is, they are lowering the number of authorized machines that one user can have from 5 to 2. I guess people were exploiting this feature to share all of the games with friends for free. Could I have set up all of my DLC on my friends' machines? Totally legally?

Actually, from what I read, the PS3 isn't supposed to see a new HD as a totally new machine, maybe I did something wrong.

    I had purchased CTP2.
Glad if I can get the RB3 Version DLC code.

"Mama tried" is definitely one of the best.

I suspect he is a little busy helping to investigate the problems with the EU patch, or perhaps the codes did not come through from MS. I'm sure we can all wait another day to find out. We have been without CTP2 keys for many months, so another day or two will not hurt

I continue to hold out my feeble hope as a PS3'er.

I'm not a big fan of "Mama Tried" either. Probably in the lower-third of my favorites from the CTP2. My favorite is either "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" (neat story with the lyrics, plus the guitar/bass parts are pretty fun, too) or "Crazy Town" (Iunno....just like it). Least favorite? Definitely Darius Rucker's insipid (and misspelled) little snoozer "Alright" And I hate that it gets played over the speakers at my work about every 3 hours....angryface

Or longer if he does indeed get several hundred.

I bought the disc 3 weeks ago, that's much more deserving of a code then all you day one adopters! If I had known I could of waited and just bought the pack as DLC! I figured it was never coming! :P
