I don't know maybe you have more experience in estimating this stuff, but I don't get why so many people insist on the affected group being insignificant.

Will this be fixed in the next title update then? (Even if this will likely be months away ...)
Trust me, we've got more experience in estimating this stuff. If you look at RB1 sales internationally you'll get one pool of users. You can look at people that bought RB1 on the 360 and you'll get a smaller pool. Then look at how many international users bout both RB1 and RB3 and you continue to isolate the affected group. Determining how many of those customers that bought both RB1 and RB3 on the 360 that then imported the RB1 songs, you're looking at a significantly smaller number. And then from that consider how many people downloaded the recent title update and the pool continues to shrink.

We've got access to the sales data as well as import data so we've got a pretty good handle on how many people we need to reach. At this time there are no plans for another title update for RB but if it's something that starts to develop in the future I will make sure this is on the table.

I do feel I should mention, however, it is not only Europe that is affected, and that Australia is not in Europe. Picky, I know, but in these uncertain economic times I would like to emphasise this fact.
Understood, sorry for the poor choice of words on my part. Should have said PAL instead of just EU. We understand that this affects EU users, AUS/NZ users, people in the US with consoles registered in a PAL region, etc. It doesn't drastically change the number of people affected, but we're certainly aware it hits people other than just EU users.

This is our top support priority at the moment, but this does fall in a busy customer support window between Black Friday and holiday. We should be able to turn around codes within 48 hours of emailing, and we've already resolved 75% of the emails received so far.

I got the same error when trying Dani California too. Haven't tried the rest, went straight to playing it after reading about the issue.

So does deleting Dani California from the RB1 folder mean it'll never show in RB2 and Lego Rock Band? Not that I'm likely to load either up any time soon but I'd like to know before deleting it.

Just loaded up RB2 to check -- Dani California doesn't show after deleting the RB1 export.

I copied it over to a memory card, probably pointless but at least it'll be easier to retrieve if I do need it.

Yeah, I could have figured that out myself ...
Anyway, what I forgot to say earlier: thanks for having a working solution within such a short time. I'm thrilled to have Black Hole Sun and Dani California back! Gonna write that e-Mail right now.
