Sorry to sound like a pain but is there an email address where we can ask for the code to unlock those songs again yet?

Hey all. I'll post replies to a few questions below but wanted to post next steps first so people can link to them and quote them cleanly without a bunch of non essential background info attached.
Affected users (i.e. EU 360 players that imported RB1 into RB3, downloaded the newest title update and then found that several songs from RB1 import were no longer available) can email support@rockband.com for a DLC code that will reintroduce the missing songs.
Please make sure the subject line of the email reads: Dani California Bug (X360) - Missing EU songs post patch
Also, please include your name, your gamertag and your country in the body of the email. We'll reply with a code as soon as possible so you can get these 8 songs back in your library.
We'll be passing along this next step to members of our Facebook and Twitter community as well, but feel free to pass it along to other affected users you know or cross post on relevant message boards and EU community sites.
I think this is a combination of a poor choice of words on my part as well as a misunderstanding of the process on your part. We did not test, submit and approve a patch and then opt instead to release codes. Chalk it up to one poor use of the word "patch" when I should have said "fix" or "solution" or one of the other terms I've used repeatedly in the thread. It was determined fairly early on that code distribution would be the most likely end result, and that is what we tested, submitted and approved.
At this point, this is an issue that mostly affects the hardcore. This isn't something that affects all people on all consoles in all regions, and once we look at the affected user base, there is a very, very narrow group of users that we need to reach. This only affects Xbox 360 users in Europe who purchase both RB1 and RB3, and exported RB1 and downloaded the most recent title update for RB3.
That's not a huge segment of the community by any means, but it's our hope that we'll be able to resolve the issue for as many affected users as possible.
I think it's safe to assume that if someone is savvy enough to import RB1 into RB3 and pay for the re licensing costs, then they are likely savvy enough to search out a solution to this issue. I think the one email solution we've set up is fairly hassle free.
We will certainly reach out to as many people in our community as possible, including forum posters, Twitter and Facebook users, and newsletter subscribers. Many people have pointed out international support on the forums as a potential roadblock for reaching affected users, but with over 2.3 million users registered to our social media sites with no international blocks, our reach there will exceed our reach here on the forums.
I think this neatly sums up what I tried to address in the replies above, but I think the last line highlights an important element here: word of mouth will do wonders to help inform those people not subbed to the forums, newsletter or social accounts. Though that casts a pretty wide net, there's always going to be people that we can't reach through those channels, be it for a title update, a giveaway or a blog post. So please do spread the word, because we want to correct this issue for as many people as possible.
While this segment certainly isn't huge, it certainly isn't miniscule either. There are about 500,000,000 people in europe. I would guess that if you narrow that down to the people affected by this bug you'll still get at least a 4 digit number. Far too many for each and everyone to be handled via e-mail and code. I don't know maybe you have more experience in estimating this stuff, but I don't get why so many people insist on the affected group being insignificant.
Will this be fixed in the next title update then? (Even if this will likely be months away ...)
Thank you for all your efforts (and the efforts of everyone at Harmonix). I have sent an email as directed, and look forward to receiving a code when available.
I do feel I should mention, however, it is not only Europe that is affected, and that Australia is not in Europe. Picky, I know, but in these uncertain economic times I would like to emphasise this fact.![]()
i have also sent the e-mail.. hope i worded the email correctly and get a reply as soon as you're ready
