Which means we only need a guitarist and a bassist. C'mon! It'll be fun!
EDIT: I think we should record instrumentation first, then lead vocals, then everyone else's vocals.

Well, we're dealing with recordings that are made at their own time. Some recordings may start sooner or later than others, etc.
And if we're dealing with a drum intro or something, the mixer better know what measure to put the other instruments in and such. And of coarse, the tempo matters a lot in sync. Not saying it's gonna be impossible, but it will take lots of mixing experience. And since I know for a fact that atalkingfish is pretty good at mixing (remember, I am working on a song of his for the RBN), I would be fine with him putting out the master mix.

Well, the drumming should help a lot. Since it'll be a collaborative effort, we might have to have a system where the person recording their part give me the track of their recording by itself (for mixing and such - at the highest bit rate possible, with no compression, preferably) and then a recording of their track WITH the main track (for reference when mixing, bit rate does not matter as much) so that it can all be put together. I imagine that the only person who will need to send me more than one isolated track would be the drummer, so I could mix cymbals/toms/bass/snare to their own settings. If the guitarist just gives me a full guitar track with all the parts together, I'm sure I can just work with that since they don't need to be split (but it would need to be split from the other instruments of course)
tl;dr - Record however you're comfortable recording and we'll get it to work.
meh
Whelp, OK. I guess it's easier than I would have thought.
Seriously, we need a guitarist and a bassist. I wanna get started with this project!

I'd be willing to play guitar and/or bass. I've been playing guitar for 17 years and have an acoustic and 2 electrics, and picked up bass about 3 years ago. I have some experience recording and mixing, and have a large array of mics. I play drums too and have an acoustic kit and drum mics if that's needed as well. Visit my youtube link in my sig if you want, it's got a bunch of videos showing me playing the squier if you wanna get an idea of my ability.
