Keeping the thread alive. It would be a miracle if Harmonix's next E3 announcement was The Beatles: Rock Band 2. That is the only midnight release for a game I would ever attend. Yes, wouldn't that be nice? I still consider the first Beatles: Rock Band to be Harmonix's best game, even without pro mode and keys. More than likely, the next game Harmonix announces will be Rock Band 4, which fills me with joy because I love the first 3 Rock Band games. But it fills me more with disappointment because I would obviously much rather have a sequel to The Beatles.
P.S. The lack of Beatles DLC displeases me, as does Apple Corps for ignoring this game and all the patient Beatles fans.

If you ask me... I'd rather have a six (or more) pack of DLC for Rock Band 3. Though I love TBRB for what it is, it is hard for me to go back. I quit playing legacy guitar when RB3 came out and I don't believe in a success of a second dedicated Beatles game. Actually I think it could destroy all reputation that HMX gathered with the first one, no matter how high the uqality of the sequel would be.
imho the platform aspect of the main series is what keeps rock band alive. you need only one disc and can play thousands of songs from the hard drive. Having to change discs is one of the main reasons why I don't play drums or vocals in TBRB, although I love those beatles Harmonies. That is no issue of lazyness. It is more a matter of actually changing the platform, waiting for the game to start up, not having pro instruments and so on.
I'd love to see a hand full of Beatles songs in RB3. Of course, if it were possible, I'd even take a whole export. But I guess that will never happen. That is why I go for the smaller goal that seems more realistic.
Blah, what am I saying?!? Not even a 6-pack of DLC for RB3 seems like an achievable goal, although I'd even pay a second time for songs that were on the TBRB disc. I just wish we had a hand full of their songs for our rock band parties. Beatles are so popular at karaoke parties, but changing the disc takes too long (+ loading times and so on) and its not like people wanted to play ten fab4 songs in a row. They want the usual diversity so its one beatles track, one Iron maiden track, one Queen track and so on.... THis circumstance makes TBRB unatractive for our parties.
I can imagine how hard it must be for HMX to nagotiate with Apple Corp, so yeah, I'd even pay a whooping 3 Bucks for each song. But I doubt that money is the issue here.
All I can say is thx Harmonix for any attempt you have ever started to get us more songs. Even if it did not work out.

I know it's been done before, but I am another person who has specifically created an account just to respond to this thread and to say: "Yes, I will buy new DLC, day one". I play TB:RB every day. seriously. However, I have never played a game online, because I can't find anyone on the PS3.
I just felt I had to say that I am one of those people who have bought all the DLC but haven't played online. Maybe that affects figures of the game's popularity. I don't know.
Is there a way to do a facebook poll of something, on the Rockband page? To see if people wanted more DLC? I may be completely wrong, but I just want some more DLC and I'll do anything to see it released!
All I wanted to say is that, yes I still play TB:RB and yes I would love some more content

Swapping discs has never been an issue to me, because when I want to play Rock Band, I usually play the games like this:
First I'll play Rock Band 3 for maybe 30 to 40 minutes, and once I've played all the songs I want to play on Rock Band 3, I put in The Beatles: Rock Band ( save the best for last ) and play however long I want to play it. But of course that's just ME. Swapping discs does not bother me because The Beatles: Rock Band is it's own game, as it should be. And as I have said before, I don't want The Beatles DLC to be in Rock Band 3 because to take the songs out of The Beatles: Rock Band, away from the beautiful dreamscapes, takes away some of the magic that The Beatles: Rock Band created. And there is NO WAY IN HELL Rock Band 3 can recreate that magic with their Music Video Mode. I'll take song specific dreamscapes for Beatles songs over some custom made singer playing the song against a trippy background ANY day.
Also, exporting The Beatles songs over to Rock Band 3 just makes the first Beatles game seem irrelevant.
The Beatles: Rock Band is a band specific spin-off from the main series and should be treated as such.
And any further DLC that hopefully is made for The Beatles music should be made playable ONLY in The Beatles: Rock Band, or a potential sequel.
Both the Beatles: Rock Band, and Rock Band 3 are great games. And if I have to swap discs just to play a few songs from each of these great games, so be it.
Just curious...
Are you saying that if there was new Beatles DLC that was only playable in RB3 or 4 and TB:RB became exportable that you would not play it in RB3/4 due to presentation?
The magic of The Beatles music to me is just that, The Music...
I would be thrilled to interact with it in the traditional RB way, especially if that meant more choices ala more instruments as well as more music.
Good point. If HMX were to release the entire Beatles discography (use your imagination) but only on the mainstream Rock Band, I'd still buy it even if we would risk having dreamscapes or Beatle characters.
Then again, it would be up to Apple Corps if we were to get more DLC if they would even allow their music to be outside of their game.

If future Beatles DLC was released ONLY for Rock Band 3, I WOULD buy it. I wouldn't be happy that they chose to put it in Rock Band 3, but I would still buy it and play it because I love The Beatles, and I REALLY want more DLC to be released.
Like I said, what is the point of even releasing the first Beatles game if all you are going to do is export the songs over to Rock Band 3 and then dispose of The Beatles: Rock Band copy? Thankfully the songs are not exportable, so we have no choice but to play the songs ONLY in The Beatles: Rock Band. Good.
With all this said, if ALL of The Beatles albums were released as DLC for The Beatles: Rock Band, and then they were made exportable, that's fine. Because then I will have the choice to ONLY play the songs in The Beatles game. Because that's what I would do. If all The Beatles albums were released to The Beatles: Rock Band, I would buy them all. And if they were THEN made exportable, I MIGHT export the songs just in case something happens to The Beatles: Rock Band copy. But as long as the Beatles game is undamaged, I would ONLY play the songs in The Beatles: Rock Band.
What was the point of releasing Green Day: Rock Band or LEGO Rock Band if every single person who ever bought it just exported the songs and never played the actual game?
