Well, given the over 2 years of exclusivity, it's not like that happened. Beyond that, HMX band games (TB and GD) have both told the story of the band, helped capture the feel of their performances (both live and studio), offered glimpses into the band that weren't always available (TBRB had exclusive content and some long lost content, I'm pretty sure GDRB did too), and was an experience. Heck, at the time, TBRB had harmonies when the mainline game didn't, which is something to cherish.

I for one would welcome an export. I haven't played TBRB in a while (though I've meant to, been busy the past few weeks), but there are some things I just like about RB3 better. I don't like playing non-pro drums anymore, and I enjoy being able to bounce back and forth between multiple artists and having a huge set at my disposal under a single disc. Heck, my TBRB DLC purchases were tempered by the fact that it wasn't the main game (otherwise I'd have snagged the full Abby Road album).

Now, I do understand why it hasn't happened yet, but I do think that we'll eventually see an export. At this point, it's probably the only way we'll see more Beatles DLC. Even then, it would be problematic similar to the CTP2 issue, though in this case it may simply be the best option available. It would also probably require them to create RB animation tracks for all the songs, since I doubt the Beatles animation track is compatible.

I exported it day 1 or 2 when I snagged it but still played the game for about a month, and I wasn't a very big Green Day fan. And I got it this summer, after RB3 was out.

    And agreed on the animations.

Just wanted to reply to this topic because its a good topic. I much as the OP dont post much anymore. Had some good times here but I really dont come here often. Main reason I come here is to see if per chance we have any news on DLC.
I play the game now and then its probably one of my favorite games but I play RB3 more only because there are more songs. I have all the instuments (sadly my Gretsch is broken need to find a place to fix it) and proudly display them.
My daughter who is 20 is big into GH (dont kill me) but TB:RB is her favorate game as well.
I guess what Im saying is I also dont plug the game in every day and play for 3 hours like I used to and I dont post much on the forums either.
If all it took was me logging in the game again for a few hours every day for a year to get more DLC I would happly do that. I know its not as simple as that but hopefully you get my point.

This game made me actually appreciate the Beatles. Honestly I grew up knowing nothing about them, nothing at all. When I heard about this game, I kinda could care less.. then I got it... I still play it every once in a while, but man was i hooked for about 5 months.

An export would be the best thing that ever happened, possibly for RB4,
they would have had enough time to licence everything, they would be able to maybe even add keys to certain songs, and honestly HMX should know, they could charge anywhere from 10 to 40 dollars for this export, it will sell at $40

    Keeping the thread alive.

The Beatles: Rock Band 2 for 2012, For The Win! Seriously Apple Corps, what the hell? You remember those people who buy The Beatles's music out of love for the band, what were they called? Oh yeah, THE FANS! The people who give you their money happily and joyfully, the people who fill up YOUR damn wallets. The fans bought all the albums on vinyl, then they bought all the albums on CD, now they are buying the music on iTunes. Now we would REALLY like to buy all the albums on The Beatles: Rock Band. Because as I have said before, buying the albums on The Beatles: Rock Band is exactly the same as buying the albums on CD or iTunes. It's the same album in a different form. The only difference is this: The Beatles: Rock Band gives the fans the ability to actually PLAY AND PERFORM the music, and that is kind of why we want to buy it.

Playing the songs is not going to deprive us of HEARING the music, or loving the music. It just makes us love the songs even more. Remember the "All You Need Is Love" sales? Yeah that was a hell of a thing, I mean it was only THE MOST DOWNLOADED TRACK IN ANY ROCK BAND GAME! And The Beatles DLC was only THE BEST SELLING DLC OUT OF ALL THE GAMES!!! I bet if you released Hey Jude as DLC you would have gotten TWICE as many sales as All You Need Is Love, because Hey Jude is only ONE OF THE BEATLES HIGHEST, IF NOT THE HIGHEST, RATED SONGS!!!!

What the damn, Apple? Jesus, your already a multi-million dollar company, and The Beatles are one of your biggest cash grabbers. Putting more DLC in The Beatles: Rock Band is another opportunity to fill up your already mountainous wallets. Why don't you jump at it? It would make the fans happy, you'll make more money, as if you don't already have enough to sustain you.

It's not like you'll be selling out on The Beatles. You want to know who's a sellout? Hulk Hogan is a sellout, George Lucas is a sellout,. If you started to put The Beatles songs in commercials advertising Nike, like Michael Jackson tried to do ( may he rest in peace ), THEN you would be selling out.

The fans love The Beatles, and we want to give you our money. Again.

What a groundbreaking thought process! Who would have thought that Apple could make money by selling Beatles DLC? I also never really realized how happy Beatles fans would be if they made more DLC! Seriously man, you are on a Socrates level of thinking...
When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! I DON'T WANT YOUR DAMN LEMONS, WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THESE?

Don't be a sell-out, just put your music out more!

Where was it ever said that Apple were in any way opposed to more content (which raises the question as to how the game got made in the first place), or that they alone have been blocking it? Maybe it's more about the money, or maybe Harmonix don't have time to do that on top of a 213th consecutive week of Rock Band DLC, plus Dance Central and DLC, and whatever other unannounced projects they might be working on that are less risky than returning to a game that hasn't had DLC in two years.

Thank you for your sarcastic and demeaning comment. I love how you could have showed support for the game and the corresponding thread, but instead chose to contribute absolutely nothing to this thread at all with a sarcastic remark designed to insult a fellow poster who's simply showing support for an ignored masterpiece in music games.

My rant was not designed to be some philosophical look at why there is no more content, or a groundbreaking discovery in thought. I was simply stating that I don't understand why Apple chooses to not license more DLC when it will appease the patient Beatles fans, and it will make Apple more money.

Do this thread a favor, and actually post something that isn't totally worthless. Maybe show some damn support.

Ha ha! Another sarcastic remark at my expense. My my, the boards are just full of sarcassers today. Ha ha ha ha. Putting the music in The Beatles: Rock Band is not selling out. Putting the music in commercials hocking Nike or "women's underwear and sausages" as George Harrison said, however IS. There is a damn difference.

Also GNFfhqwhgads, you could also show some support instead of spending your time contradicting every post I make.
