Queens biggest recognizable hits were already in Rockband. The average non card carrying Queen song don't know the names of alot of these songs. Then again you could say the same about much of the 70's and earlier music.

You could look at any greatest hits album and find a slew of songs that made it but people don't know the song by name.
Innuendo. And I don't need to say more.

The biggest thing btw is that finally the Queen part of my library will be SORTED BY ALBUMS.

This is pretty awesome. "Don't Stop Me Now", "Bicycle Race" and "You're My Best Friend" have been among my most-wanted songs since we first got Queen. I was also hoping we'd get "Seven Seas Of Rhye", because, I mean, the keys!!

I am neutral about "IILWMC", "Stone Cold Crazy" and "Long Away".

"Radio Ga Ga" and "TSMGO" are two of those songs that I could have easily lived without. I usually skip these songs when listening to Queen, but I think they will be fun for parties and such.

Since I heard this week would be Queen, I had no doubts that I'd be buying the full pack. And I am.

The only disappointment was the exclusion of "Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy", which I now consider the only song that we need from the almost-completed Greatest Hits, Vol. 1. Songs like "Ogre Battle", "March of the Black Queen" and "Flick Of The Wrist/Lily Of The Valley" would be much appreciated as well.
So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, good night.

Do you need me to catch you up on October and November's DLC, because you seem to have jumped here straight from September.

    OMG YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND<33333333333333333333333333333333
Now my 1st most requested Queen song (Bohemian Rhapsody) and my 3rd most requested Queen song are achieved! Just the 2nd one is left :P

I've heard of 3 song in this pack already: You're My Best Friend (which is super special amazing), Don't Stop Me Now (which is alright, I guess), and Bicycle Race (which I completely despise). Gonna listen to the rest... now!

Queen EXTRAVAGANZA Pack 02 First Impressions:

Seven Seas of Rhye...Alright name, I guess. Reminds me of the "Australia is a continent/country arguement." Hmmmm... Starts off all kinds of awesome. Dig the keys and the way the guitar just strikes down. It's like WAAAMO! The guitar gets louder, and it- wow, the drums are fantastic. The vocals aren't that fantastic, but the lyrics are really something to behold. Like really. The instruments are ama- WOW! The chorus' vocals are absolutely stunning. And after that, the guitar just completely shreds in total awesomeness. The vocals slump down again, but the lyrics are still really really good. The guitar totally steals the show though, it's really something. What a great way to start the pack<3

Stone Cold Crazy's turn! Too bad it's name is pretty...foul. Definitely the weakest name of the pack. Anyway, it starts off pretty... strange. Hmm. The guitar's pretty nifty. Has a nice riff and the feel of the song is pretty coolio. It picks up... BAM! Vocals just shoot out at you. Fantastic. The absence of instruments lasts a little too long, but then the drums come in and work wonders. The guitar is really sweet here too. For some reason... kinda reminds me of Satch Boogie o-o
The vocals are really great, but when they catch their stride all the instruments disapear for a while, which bothers me a bit. Argh, it happens again. But the vocals are still good, and so are all the instruments. It's just composed strangely. Yeah, that's what fits this song best. Strange. Really weird :P

Now it's time to check out I'm in Love With My Car! Great name for a song, really dig it. Oh sweet! It's from Night of the Opera! Hmmmm... Starts off pretty cool. Vocals start really sweet too. They have a good oomph from them which Seven Seas of Rhye lacked. It does get kinda repetitive though. The instruments, while still cool, don't have the flair the other songs had. The song's still pretty good though. The lyrics aren't my thing though, mainly because I'm not much of a car enthusiast. It's pretty good, but not great.

You're My Best Friend. No words but amazing. AMAAAAAAAAZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING<33333333333333
Also, an incredibleawesometeastic name for a song.

Long Away. Decent name. Not much to say.
The vocals are... quiet. It's such a shift in the way the other songs sailed, so it's strange in a different way than Stone Cold Crazy. The instruments are alright, nothing really special or out of the ordinary. Ehhhh.... For a Queen song it feels pretty weak. Not that it's bad, but it's just so jarringly different and soft from the other songs that I can't help but feel uncomfortable. The instruments and vocals fit, but I just don't like the outcome. Oh well, this song is just something I can't get into. Not too bad.

Bicycle Race. Oh dear god, Bicycle Race. I don't get the love for this song. I just don't get the song, probably. Maybe because the only bikers in New York insist on being utterly obnoxious on the road, sidewalks, and trains :I
    The song starts off really bad. The harmonies just don't work well at all in the intro, then the regular vocals just kick in and it's just so... argh. It's just annoying. Like I feel the song /tries/ to annoy you. And accidentally annoying is alright, but when you go out of your way to irritate people... That's not cool. The lyrics and vocals in this song really rub me off as completely obnoxious, and the instruments are all pretty bland except for the awesome keys. Really, this is my least favorite Queen song of all time by very very very very very far. I just really hate the vocals and the harmonies that much. The rest of the song doesn't really fix the issues, mainly jus- Oh dear. Now they're ringing their bikes. How is that any way not irritating?!? ;_;
Drives me nuts. Really. Also the back and forths don't work, they just rub me off the wrong way. Sorry Queen. Super pass on this one. I know I'm going to get flak for not liking Bicycle Race (GNF already flailed at me already), but I really really dislike this song. And bikers. Really guys, you have your lanes. Don't stroll in the car lanes, cross red lights, and act all angry when people honk and swear at you for holding up traffic or nearly getting them into accidents :I

Don't Stop Me Now. Now THIS song's name is JUST as amazing as You're My Best Friend. Really, the name alone makes me want to buy it. But the song is just too... ok for me ><
The vocals start off cool and same with the keys, but the feel... The feel is just decent. Dunno... There's something about the song feels all weird until it kicks in. The BLAMO part is pretty awesome, to be honest. The vocals and keys are really insane, but the other instruments are like... Completely not there. I know they're there, but they're not really extravagant at all. The feeling of the song still doesn't get me as pumped as I wish. Like I don't know what to feel from this song. The break from the lead for the backup's DON'T STOP ME, DON'T STOP ME is actually pretty cool and really well done. I dig that. But besides that, the song just gives me mixed signals. Even the guitar solo isn't like... I dunno! I really dunno what I don't like about this song, the signals are just really weird. It's not BAD, it's just ok.

Radio Ga Ga. Awesome name. It's just really cool, rolls off the tongue well :P
Drums start off prett- OMG THAT WAS COOL! Like really I think those were keys, and they sounded so... cool. Wow, this song's whole vibes just dig awesome. It's like Antibodies. Now THAT song had amazing vibes attached to it. The vocals are pretty swell too. Pretty standard Queen vocals, which basically means awesome regular vocals. Ahh, that sounds cool together. The vocals just melt into the backgroun- Wow... The injection of clapping reminds me of the intro to my most nostalgic song ever (TUBTHUMPIIIIIIIING, thanks forever Harmonix for finally getting me the name for that song<3). Even though Tubthumping has no clapping in the intro, it just reminds me so much about it. The song's awesomeness is still really apparent. And that keys/bass/thingy is really sweet. The song gets pretty repetit- Ah, the clapping part kicked in again. The song's formulaic, and a bit repetitive but that's alright since it's still really awesome. Yeah, I stand by that. Song's really great.

And last but not least...The Show Must Go On! Super amazing name for a song. Can't pick between this, Don't Stop Me Now, or You're My Best Friend.
Anyway... to the song! WAIT WAIT! It starts off... IT SOUNDS SO FAMILIAR! That intro sounds really familiar for some reason. The vocals are really good, but still... Have I heard this song before?!? Maybe, I'll just wait for the chorus. Hmmmmmm... Maybe I just listened to the intro before somewhere and not the rest of the song. Anyway, it's really cool. The instruments are doing their cool thing in the back, while the vocals are having a blast. I feel so much energy from the vocals, it's really cool
The lyrics are utterly awesome too. Seriously, this song is really good. And the song ends with a really nice streak of harmonies. Fantastic way to end the pack.

Overall... This pack is AMAZING! Tons of high quality stuff... Except Bicycle Race.
You're My Best Friend enters the exclusive MUST BUY IMMEDIATELY WHEN I GET THE POINTS list, which is extremely hard to get to and Seven Seas of Rhye, Radio Ga Ga, The Show Must Go On, and Stone Cold Crazy now enters the "Will listen to again and maybe enter my iPod" list. It can be argued a lot of songs have power and emotion behind them but one of the cool things about The Show Must Go On is it's real and we can hear it in Mercury's voice. The man was literally dying as he recored the song. Brian May has said he didn't even think Freddie would get through it, barley able to stand or walk. It was his last recorded song before he died 3 weeks later and is a fitting tribute and a cool addition to RB.

    Dear Harmonix:

I could happily extol the individual virtues of each of these songs, as many have. I could recount the endless hours listening to Queen albums (yes, real vinyl) again and again. I could recant fond remembrances of places I was when I heard these songs.

I won't. Feed me the entire COLLECTION of Queen songs, I'll buy them all. These are the release weeks on which my fondness of Rock Band exists. I won't feel bad if you have more in the future. My cash is waiting.

    Best regards,

    PM
