I splurged, and got the Rush pack. It's much harder than the previous Rush songs on RB. It'll take a while to get good at them. "Caravan" in particular was so much more difficult than I thought it'd be. Cool to have charted bass solos, though

There was a post about this pack on Rush's facebook page, and it was kind of a nice surprise to see that out of well over 100 comments there were maybe 5 that were "Go play a real guitar" and plenty more defending the game.

I also got the Volbeat single. Neat song! Pretty easy, but well worth the buck.

So I have to ask - why not just have "The Spirit of Radio (Live)" sort under Permanent Waves for albums? It sounds just about identical to the studio version (cue people telling me how vastly different it is - ok, ok, I've only heard the studio version twice on Spotify) and it looks goofy to have the Rock Band logo take the place of album art.

    Legal reasons perhaps?

Because it didn't come from the album. They already screwed up placing Riding the Storm Out under The Hits for REO Speedwagon.

It sounds exactically the same except its missing the awesome keys at the end.

Because they should have given it its studio album, unless it's like The Who's The Seeker and first appeared in album form on the greatest hits.

They should have given it a studio album cover because it's not the live version used for The Hits as it claims to be

The live version is more renown, so having it that cover is misleading. Much like No Woman No Cry isn't labeled live, when it is and even has the correct album cover.

This live version sounds worse, to me, vocally then any cover version we've had. If they did put Permenant Waves as a cover, I would have been irate. The music is great, but I'm sorry but Geddy is hit/miss live and this was a miss. I've got no problem with it, just saying I like the original too much that this version just doesn't seem right.

Simply put, the version of "Riding the Storm Out" that appears on The Hits is not the version we actually got.
It's all right. Everything will work out fine.
