With my favorite football team eliminated last weekend, I need a sport to turn my attention away from the steaming pile of fecal matter that is M's baseball. Glad that the NHL season will provide that. Here's hoping that the Canucks go far in the playoffs before their annual spring choke job happens.

On the bright side, I'd bet you $20 the M's don't finish in last this year

This NHL season is going to be an absolute crap shoot. Nobody knows quite what to expect with a shortened and condensed season. On the bright side, a lot of my Red Wings have been keeping sharp by playing overseas. On the not-so-bright side... no defense, and the new CBA pretty much guarantees that getting defensive help will be difficult for years to come.

That would be the smart prediction but then again, if any team knows how to disappoint and annoy their own fans it's the Seattle Mariners.

No Defense is right. The Ducks-Canucks game the other night looked like I was watching the movie "The Mighty Ducks" with the way that it was one-sided hockey with the Ducks doing all of the scoring. It was so bad for Vancouver, they put Luongo back in the line-up.

I'm thinking that the Coyotes will likely relocate to Quebec (Unless the NHL is to Phoenix like how the NBA is to New Orleans). The Florida Panthers and Columbus Blue Jackets however are anybody's game.
