I shouldn't talk because Avalanche attendance in near the bottom in the league.

Avalanche is that low? I'm surprised considering the team's history.

Yeah, right now only about 84 % are showing up on average.

Seattle's chances improve if the NHL prolongs the team's suffering in Phoenix by a year. Seattle needs an NBA team to be in place before the construction of the new stadium starts (which that step oddly enough is close to happening pending approval from the NBA board of governors). My guess is if it's after the end of this season, Quebec gets the team because they're a year ahead of Seattle in the arena building process. Then again, it all depends on where the bilionaire who buys the team is from.

Well, we've got the NBA team and the arena is set to begin construction next year, IIRC. NHL team is in the plans and I think the new arena will be ready in two, so maybe not quite soon enough for the Yotes.

Sabres fired Lindy Ruff. Wonder if another team will look into hiring him, or if he'd be interested in taking a coaching job with another team, given that niche in the record books he occupies.

Flyers + Pens always equals an awesome game...

Jannik Hansen suspended 1 game for hitting Marian Hossa in the head. It seems that when the Vancouver Canucks aren't choking in the Stanley Cup they're hitting opponents in the face.

Thank GOD he's fired. I'm a Sabres fan and I can't stand his coaching using players that don't fit or belong. I was at that Winnipeg, Sabres game (2 nights ago, last game for Lindy), and Sabres fan's were just booing them hard in the 1st period. I glad this happened now and hope this leads to the General Manager Darcy Regier being gone as well. Coming Next Year for Sabres fans: Nathan MacKinnon for #1 overall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZynXZIjZOwY

As for Lindy, I think he will get another coaching job because of his resume.
