It's disappointing, though. I wasn't around those years, so to hear about the team in those years and watch them now is disheartening. Especially with games like tonight and questions about the team's future in the back of everyone's minds.

Went to the Avalanche game last night. Jiggy was awesome, but the Devils won the shootout. It was like it was 2003 with the goalie battle between Marty and Jiggy.
I've never been into hockey (I'm a Texas man and football's my sport of choice) but I went to Boston last week for the first time and while there I went to my first ever hockey game. We went to Boston Garden and watched the Bruins take on the Maple Leafs and it was maybe 3 seconds into the game that I became a hockey fan for life. I still know relatively little about the game but that'll change. Just thought I'd share my story.
Stone In Love - Journey
Rose of the Devil's Garden - Tiger Army
Don't Change - INXS
Highway Song - Blackfoot
Tonight She Comes - The Cars
The Wild will be awesome next year with Suter and Parise. I won't be any less uninterested in NHL, just saying.

It's that time again, Stanley Cup Playoffs.
I do wonder how many ans will actually be at attendance of Coyotes home playoff games.

Can't say I'm happy with how the Islanders season went, but that's not really a surprise. Maybe next year will be better. I'm hoping they re-sign Parenteau, get a bit tougher on defense, and at least have a set goalie hierarchy going into next season, with Nabokov presumably at the top of the depth chart. Also, if Tavares continues to improve, wow.
As for the playoffs, anyone have predictions? Here are mine (winners of each series in bold):
Conference Quarterfinals
Eastern Conference:
(1) NYR vs. (8) OTT
(2) BOS vs. (7) WSH
(3) FLA vs. (6) NJD
(4) PIT vs. (5) PHI
Western Conference:
(1) VAN vs. (8) LAK
(2) STL vs. (7) SJS
(3) PHO vs. (6) CHI
(4) NSH vs. (5) DET
Conference Semifinals
Eastern Conference:
(2) BOS vs. (8) OTT
(4) PIT vs. (6) NJD
Western Conference:
(1) VAN vs. (6) CHI
(2) STL vs. (4) NSH
Conference Finals
Eastern Conference:
(2) BOS vs. (4) PIT
Western Conference:
(2) STL vs. (6) CHI
Stanley Cup Finals
(2) STL vs. (2) BOS
There you have it. I was able to predict Boston winning it last year, but I'm going out on a limb giving the Western Conference Champion (who I was completely wrong on last year) the Stanley Cup victory this year.

Also, how does Nashville make it to the Western Conference Finals if they lose to St. Louis in the Semis in your prediction CCR?
