Yeah, last I was hearing from television ratings more people saw the games in the stadium than watched on TV.

I can sympathize with rooting for a team with little fan attendance and in danger of moving, firedoom, even though Phoenix is worse off in that department.
That "rooting for a team in the playoffs" thing is kinda foreign to me, though.
The last team I was rooting for that was relocated had the fan base/fan attendance numbers that were better than the majority of their league but they still moved and their owner lied about the intentions of moving while under oath in court to a federal judge and he got away with it. That is why I don't watch NBA Basketball anymore.
Relocating teams sucks for the fans invested in their teams only to see them pack up and go away. Such a helpless feeling.

So far so good with Boston and Philly!

14.2 seconds left in regulation and the Bhawks tie it up...love playoff hockey, but I gotta get to bed.

Stone In Love - Journey
Rose of the Devil's Garden - Tiger Army
Don't Change - INXS
Highway Song - Blackfoot
Tonight She Comes - The Cars
It's a shame there aren't more fans of hockey, especially come playoff time. The strike some yeas back, really crippled the sport such that the effects are still being felt. But damn if this flyers/pens game isn't the sh?t! Loving it!

First trip in this thread (you'll know why in a second or two), just wanted to whine a moment.
2 words - Dallas Stars
They have just rode the fail train the last 4 years and it sucks having to root for another team during the playoffs.
Hockey is my favorite sport to watch live by far so it's extra painful.
That's it.
Lawdog1521 - I'll go with two. Why? Anytime you have a dead clown you come out ahead.
I find it kinda funny how many Texans are posting in this thread (assuming D-Rex is either living in or originally from Dallas... I know Bevo lives in Austin like myself). What the hell do we know about hockey anyway, right?
As for the Stars...like all other professional sports teams out of Dallas, I'm not a fan. But you can't really complain about them based on their recent history (>4 yrs). I have however gone to quite a few Texas Stars games down here, and love those games.
