Worst Islanders game of the year, and it had to be against the Rangers, of all teams. They simply can't break out of their own zone, and that's a serious issue that needs to be addressed immediately.

Regardless, I'll be going to the game against the Flames on Thursday, most likely. It should be fun.

I really like these Winter Classic games the NHL started having a few years back. I know the seasons been going on for a few months already, but I don't really start paying attention until now...

Just bought a new Leafs jersey, pretty proud of it. Now if only I could actually have a reliably successful team to wear it for. Good thing the Wings still put on a good game.

I'm torn...I think it makes sense, but seems the unintended consequences of doing so would inadvertently change too much about the game that I like (not the fighting per se, but the aggressive and high-tempo nature of the game).

The Winter Classic is a really cool idea, I just hate both teams that played this year. NBC also has to get Mike Milbury away from a broadcast booth. Even if I want to watch the game, it's really hard to knowing that, at any moment, I might have to listen to his stupid, fat mouth.

Completely disagree. There's a place for fighting in hockey, and getting rid of it is not a matter of "modernization."

I'd like to see the Canucks participate in that, though they'd have to be the visitor because a Winter Classic in a domed football stadium would be lame and pointless.
