Oh yes it should have. Detroit did nothing to stop the top line, and that top line is really the only way the Islanders are going to beat a team. Also, the Islanders haven't lost in regulation to Detroit since '03.

Just got back from the game, actually. It was a ton of fun.

Welcome to Islanders games. No one shows up, and up to 50% of those that do are rooting for the other team. Besides, I've always had fun at Islanders games; I can't help it if fair-weather fans haven't shown up in 20 years.

I'd say the Canucks finally get the Cup in a rematch against the Bruins, but then again it's a little early to predict the playoffs considering that it's not even all-star break.

I don't know. If the Bruins meet the Canucks again I think we'll have the same result. Tim Thomas/Tukka Rask is a better combo than Roberto Luongo/Cory Schneider.

Goaltending was key last year and I don't see it being any different.

Went to the game against Buffalo tonight, and it ended up being Nabokov's 300th career victory, so that was cool to see.

Vancouver won again, good thing the Canucks are off to a good year so far. I have a feeling I'll be watching plenty of hockey this spring.

I couldn't watch it, but scores like that are frequent in the All-Star Game. Read that Tavares picked up a goal and an assist, so that's cool.

This was still the most important all-star game to happen today, I'd say.

Of Course it it. An All Star Game at the halfway point of the season is more important than one that is used as filler before the Super Bowl. The Pro Bowel had slightly more meaning when it was the week after the Super Bowl though even then it was still meaningless.
