Difficulty in 5 button guitar mode <> difficulty to play in real life <> difficulty in creating said tune in real life.

There are plenty of songs that are easy to play in RB and hard on real guitar (and vice versa). Beyond that, there's something to be said about a player's innovation and sound. Part of Jimi's sound is the unique way he setup his instrument (righty strat played lefty offered a fairly unique guitar sound).

Whole pack for me, more Hendrix = more awesome. These songs are worth it for the drum charts alone, Mitch Mitchell is a monster behind the kit.

What makes Jimi the "best guitarist" to me is his artistry and emotive style. He makes the guitar sing like no other. Just listen to his Star Spangled Banner. You can "see" the bombs bursting in air as the notes hit your ears. He turned the anthem into a song simultaneously about protest and about patriotism, and he created most of the fireworks spontaneously while on stage as the final Woodstock performer as the sun was rising on Monday morning at 7am.

Is he the greatest technical player? No. Does he play the fastest notes? No. Does he convey the emotions of a song better than anyone before or since? I'd argue yes. He certainly deserves to be in the argument of 'best guitarist of all time," but it really comes down to the listener. Each of us has different interpretations of that.

I am getting all of the Hendrix and pro upgrades this week. What a super month of DLC so far! Can we get some Rory Gallagher for Christmas please
It's only oversaturation if you have to switch discs.
    Where's.. Tesla, Zeppelin, Gallagher, Floyd?

I have mixed feelings about this pack:

On the good side, I really like Hendrix songs and will buy everything including the 4 pro upgrades.

On the other hand, I'm concerned this may bring out a repeat of last year where for half a year we virtually got nothing but classic rock (Foo Fighters fortunately ended that streak in May).

    Yeah, that shouldn't happen again.

Called the Jimi Hendrix in the prediction thread, but was hoping to rock out for fifteen minutes to Voodoo Chile. Still cool, though.

I'll have to listen to this Woodstock version Voodoo Child as well.

AsianSteev: if you can read this, put more Ska songs on the RBN! Please?

The 7-pack was not the Country pack. It was this.

It's about time, Harmonix! I'm sad you won't be releasing all of Electric Ladyland in one go, though. But finally, we get a song that should've been in the first Guitar Hero from the get go: Voodoo Child (Slight Return), probably the greatest guitar song ever.
