On the occasions when I sing, I like to sing whatever. Frankly I do slightly prefer to sing male-fronted songs because I'm not tempted to try to match pitch exactly. I do that with female-fronted songs and I....fail horriblyWhen I sing male-fronted songs and just try to sing correctly within my own octave, I usually score a tiny bit better. My best vocal scores are on Foo Fighters and 3 Doors Down songs (excluding talkies, of course).
PowerGig was a joke, and it died a horrible death. Presumably, whatever exclusivity it had died with it (Dave Matthews was also PowerGig-exclusive). Clapton's big thing was always that he wanted people to play his songs on a real guitar, not that he was necessarily against music gaming. Which, yeah, it makes him look pretty goddamn stupid for favoring PowerGig in the first place, since their "real guitar" was......again, a joke, and that game did have a 5-button mode. But it makes it pretty clear why he'd pop up on Rocksmith.
I'd love to know about the Stones, too, but I doubt they can talk about that.
How much data do you have on your hardcore player base of RB?
Like age, location, sex, whatnot... And if you have this info is any of it surprising to you?
Also now that the plastic instrument boom is over and has plateaued out, do you think anything you can do would make it gain popularity again?
Also I wanted to say thanks for the RBN. I've discovered many bands and artists I'd never found myself.
