I would rather have 4,000 working songs with Rock Band 4 than the possibility of smacking some buttons to change the lights in a party setting.

Power Gig probably sold their contracts back to make some money, like Guitar Hero apparently did with their smaller ones(Chili Peppers, Soundgarden).

Should I have any hope for future DLC from the Guitar Hero-centric bands: Metallica, Aerosmith, and Van Halen?? I don't need any specifics, I just need to know if I should even hold out hope for songs from these three. Also, the latest DLC has been fantastic! Keep it up!

Well, since the future is 'anytime after now', I'd say yes. If Rock Band doesn't go under in the next week or two, we're bound to see them eventually.

Would you consider changing your policy on songs that don't have proper masters, such as separated tracks? At this point, I don't care if the music doesn't drop out when I miss a note, if it means that we can actually have songs from the Beach Boys, The Byrds, Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Cream, Van Morrison (i.e. the rest of Who's Next), etc. essentially everyone from the 60's/70's who we are still missing at this point, and I would assume it's because of their masters.

The rest of Who's Next was stolen, it's not unusable.

Why haven't we seen any more RB3 upgrades since Queen over a year ago? Was there too much of a backlash to them? We don't have official numbers, but according to the popularity charts on RockBandScores.com, the RB3 versions of the Bon Jovi and Queen songs are the most popular ones out of those packs. It appears some people didn't put their money where their mouth is when it comes to complaining about upgrades. There are some high profile artists with a smaller number of songs that could really use upgrades, namely Boston, Kansas and Journey.

Also, have you guys tried Rocksmith yet? If so, what do you think of it? I'm curious to see how it's impacted your views on pro guitar, if at all.

I know, but the problem is still the same: they don't have their "usable" masters. I would imagine they could still use any audio of the song available, if they drop the requirement of having the music drop out when you miss a note (reason why they need separated tracks).

That's pushing it. We've had bleeding and poor mixes before(live tracks, Painkiller, I Can See for Miles), but I doubt they'd ever use an MP3 equivalent.

YES please. I mean, how can you not RB3-upgrade The Zombies with those harmonies and keyboards... But there are so many songs I wish had harmony parts...

Along the lines of questions already asked, but anyhow:

Q: With the introduction of Pro instruments and keyboard, were there attempts to open dialogue with bands who had previously shunned ' music video games'... and if so what is the success ratio in terms of turning them around to think more positively about the strides the RB franchise has made in terms of offering real instruments these days?

    And one more...

Q: Will the next frontier of the Rock Band franchise include plenty more social gaming mechanics? eg. If I want to find out that my friend Bob just killed my score on my favourite song, are you going to make it much easier for me to find that out the moment it happens, or at least the moment I boot the game up? Etc, etc.
