Do pro upgrades for old dlc require a whole new deal with the lisencing, or does Harmonix have the right to offer pro DLC for any DLC they already have lisenced as legacy DLC?

For example, did getting the pro upgrade for ..And Justice for All require a new deal with Metallica, or did you guys already have the right? Because if it was a new deal made thats good news to have progress with some of those bands that have been shy.

Sorry if thats already been explained before somewhere.

There was a lot of controversy surrounding the release of the Squier.

I shipped a total of 15 Squiers to forum members outside the U.S. who couldn't get access to them any other way over a period of 2 1/2 months.

They went to areas as near as Canada and Brazil, and as far away as Finland, and Australia.

Now that supply has dried up, and the thread that dealt with questions about finding the Squier has ceased to be active, (I hope in part, to most people that wanted them getting one)...

How will you deal with future hardware releases? If you release another game will it involve new hardware, or are you going to try to avoid that altogether?

A lot of players have a large amount of $ invested in DLC, and I wonder as the game ages and hardware wears out, if can we expect to see new hardware made available so we can continue to play the game? And also, will any new versions of the game take existing hardware into account?

I ask the last question in part because of what happened with the stage kit when RB3 was first released. It was written out and then later patched, (or whatever was done) to make it work again.

    And last....

What do you think of the out of norm stuff done at sites like Docs, and the lengths that people will go to set up stages in their house, or setups like the lighting that people use when they play the game?

Here's a link to mine for reference...

Love to use the stage kit and all my other lighting items while I play. See my thread on lighting in the dlcquickplay.com forums.

    Awesome HMX!

    I have just two questions:
Will we ever get as DLC those awesome harmonix bands songs that are in Rock Band 3 Credits?
and the second one, any chance of a PS3 DLC Sale?

Excellent question, the amount of times myelf and friends who are vocal fans wanted to have a session together using our own gamertags, it would be nice. Then again so would having back online head to head battles as well to duke it out online.

    I've got a few!

Q: RIGHT NOW--on your own system sort your song library by Play Count. What song or songs are in the top category and what is that number?

Q: How many "Obsessive Compulsive" players are out there? How does that compare to the number of players who have a "Bladder of Steel"?

Q: Are there any plans to create additional Band Goals related to DLC released after RB3 was released (including future DLC)?

Q: In the evolution of Harmonix's games from Frequency & Amplitude all the way to Dance Central 2, are there any particular accomplishments that stand out as things you are especially proud of?

Q: Similarly, are there any particular aspects of the current games that "back then" you'd have never believed would happen? Put another way, if you went back in time to visit your past self in the Harmonix time machine*,what would you have the hardest time convincing your past self of?

Q: Have you ever considered turning Rock Band into a kind of RPG, where the band members power up to become over-the-top charac- . . . never mind, that'd be stupid.

*We know you have one, don't try to deny it! Two words: Pro Drums.

Having the hi hat pedal work in the game would be awesome. I really enjoy playing the game on my TD-6V and used MidiPipe to change the open hi hat to a ride and it was awesome. However all the extra cables and set up didn't make it worth it. Would be awesome if it was just supported in game.

We don't know, nor can Harmonix talk about it(labels WILL hate them if they do). If it helps any, releasing tablature DOES require paying royalties to the songwriters, but we still don't actually know if Pro guitar is considered tablature.

We've already got a few of them, but they've all been through Rock Band Network(and will be from now on), so since you're apparently PS3...

They've already said no to this several times.
