Megadeth has a low amount of variety, though. They only draw from three albums, one of which is a modern single.
I think 10 points is enough forever. NO MORE POINTS.
I want to get new points when a band from my wishlist is announced.
It would be more fair if everyone got more points on a regular basis (weekly/monthly, etc).
It would be more fair if everyone got more points for special occasions (holidays, anniversaries).
Points should be special rewards given to contest winners.
I want more points but I don't know how / when I want them?
I have a better idea and I will post in in the thread!

Well now I'm pissed. We need another Billy Joel 12 pack.

FWIW this isn't the only way we're planning on doling out more points. It's just a thing we wanted to try this week. Since we're in Beta, and we're not bound by the same restrictions we are when experimenting with in game changes, we wanted to poke around a bit and see what people like.
We've also talked about the possibility of adding more points on a weekly / monthly basis, adding more points on special occasions (launch days, anniversaries, etc), adding more points for significant rock events (Grammys, first day of Warped Tour, etc) or making points a reward for helpful peer to peer support. We're not married to anything yet, and since we're still in Beta we can play around with a lot of stuff.
So I think, for now, we'll stick with adding points when a band on your wish list is added to the game but feel free to let us know what you think of the above possibilities or suggest your own!
My list.
Glad to see the underdogs from the disc doing well. Bothers me how The Babys are in all caps.

It's terrible because you're rewarding the people who just got what they asked for. So you give them chances to ask for more things instead of suggesting they rearrange the points they've already put into those bands? What if they just put more points into those same bands? It makes no sense to me. Granted, I don't like the point allocation idea at all, a top ten sort of deal would be better, but rewarding the people who get their requests with more points seems a little backwards. It also takes away from wanting to request bands I like because my chances of getting anything I REALLY want seem pretty slim. I mean, I wanted Free Ride, but I wasn't going to put EWG on my extremely limited 10 point list for one song. It's like, if I could correctly guess a few DLC bands, I can suddenly throw single points at five or ten or more bands I actually really really want to see in the game? I have no intention of doing that, but I may just give up on trying to emphasize my favorite bands and switch to one point in ten bands I like and hope that one of them eventually makes it into the game so I can buy their song(s) and request another five. Unless by then the system has changed again.

I'm not freaking out, I'm just disappointed and tend to rant. It's not like I suddenly hate Harmonix or Rock Band or don't have any DLC I want to buy (there's plenty). And the prize is that they can buy songs from the bands they requested. Apologies for not separating my wall of text into paragraphs.

I'm surprised that Los Campesinos! is in the 400's. Didn't know they'd be requested so much. But then again, "You! Me! Dancing!" feels like it was built for Rock Band.
