Nah they stopped doing that. But now I can move that point elsewhere.

My idea for pts is simple. You can get points for play. Everytime you complete a goal, 10pts. Everytime you get 5 gold star performance, 5pts. Every song you buy in DLC, 1pt. You are rewarding the play of all of us, and by doing so, the gamers get a "weighted" vote in the next DLC, potentially. THANX for listening.

If you already completed most of the goals and gold stars a year ago, too bad.

That can already happen on equal ground. I'm currently using 9 points, yet I'm not crying that people using 10 are going to make DLC an awful experience for me.

Also, anyone who took a high school stats course could tell you it's already got bias because it's user choice to participate, and doesn't include the entire playing audience, so...again, stop whining.

Added this note to the original post:

We just released a new update to the app! Now you can compare your Rock Band 3 scores and skills to your Facebook friends and people you look up by Console ID. You can compare DLC libraries to see who you should play with. We'll even suggest new friends for you based on your similarities in DLC! (Note: This feature is still gathering data. You may not see suggested friends for the next 24 hours.) Let us know what you think!

I don't want to go through this entire thread to see if this has been posted already, but I have a fantastic, simple idea for awarding extra points:

Give extra points for having posted scores for more song/instrument combinations. Say, an extra point for every 50 solo instrument scores posted, that seems fair to me.

Three reasons why this is a great idea:
    1. The app already has access to information on how many solo scores are posted, so no new data is requires.
    2. It awards those who have a lot of DLC. (These SHOULD be the people who get extra points, since they are the most likely to buy any future DLC, they should have more of a voice in what that future DLC will be!)
    3. It gives people a motivation to play their songs with instruments for which they haven't posted scores yet.

I agree that it makes sense for their to be SOME bonus given to playing more songs at a high level of skill. It does already tell you how many songs the person has played on each instrument, and it should be clear that someone with a 90.0 rating on only 30 songs is less impressive than an 88.0 rating on 430 songs. How much more impressive? Well, in this case, you could manually add 8 points if you wanted to!

Back from the dead post # 4
The site is letting me post again and I don't know when it will stop, so...

I like the app and am pleasantly surprised that one of my top artists is at #12 on the list (last time I checked - Al Yankovic!). And I'd like more points - 1 for each DLC we buy sounds like a good start.

The dashboard wasn't working correctly for me last night. When I clicked on "Friends", it would crash back to the main dashboard page. And this morning, it won't load for me at all.
