I think 10 points is enough forever. NO MORE POINTS.
I want to get new points when a band from my wishlist is announced.
It would be more fair if everyone got more points on a regular basis (weekly/monthly, etc).
It would be more fair if everyone got more points for special occasions (holidays, anniversaries).
Points should be special rewards given to contest winners.
I want more points but I don't know how / when I want them?
I have a better idea and I will post in in the thread!
Even though I agree it's a bad idea, that logic is flawed. It would be business wise of hmx to listen to people who spend more money on the game as they are usually willing to spend more in the future, as opposed to those picky people who may or may not like the song choices even if it's an artist they've put points in, or those who aren't picky but spend less money for whatever reason.
And that's not just for people who have "everything". Someone with 500 songs may still be somewhat picky, but they are more willing to buy things. Someone with 50 songs may or may not be picky, but they are obviously not sinking much money into the game.
Like I said in another post though, it would be fair for everyone if they used a solution that wasn't based on luck or purchasing power. A system that encourages staying active on the app would be fair(everyone has an equal chance to earn bonus points) and beneficial to hmx(keeping traffic to the page and maintaining awareness) at the same time.

I don't think pickiness and song purchases always go hand in hand, I for example am pretty picky on what I add to my library. There's certain genres and artists I like to stay away from, but I still have 1000+ songs. Someone else could be generally not picky, but not have the cash to burn on rock band. Regardless though, wouldn't it be wiser to cater to the people with deeper pockets from a business standpoint?
Although I do agree a danger with this idea is alienating that percentage of users on the FB app that buy almost nothing. But realistically the ones who would care the most would be the ones with the most purchases (the most invested in the franchise)

No, because the people with deeper pockets can still only buy a song once, just like someone with shallow pockets. The forums arguably have the deepest pockets of any section of users, but how'd that go with TWO Gaga and Nickelback packs, and the Fueled by Ramen Pack?
Harmonix wants to cater to the most PEOPLE, and you can't do that by setting a 'Must be this rich to have any say' rule on your ride.

Yeah but the people with deeper pockets will buy much more songs overall. And there's nothing saying must be this rich to have any say at all, even with buying no songs you can still have a say and they could scale it however they'd like (doesn't have to be 10 songs per point). As for pop packs like gaga and such, they'll get released anyway, and do fine without anything to do with the fb app. The fb app isn't end all decision of what gets in and doesn't in the game anyway. I'm not trying to argue that this is the greatest idea out there for the app lol just that it's a viable one, and would keep users such as myself much more intrigued, and coming back to it more often.

Hey gang!
If you log in today, you may notice the Facebook App looks a little different. We're prepping some (fracking AWESOME) new features for when Rock Band Blitz launches, and rolled out the new app to get it all tested and ready for you all on Aug. 28.
You can't play with all the new features yet - some of them require Rock Band Blitz - but you can still add items to your Wishlist, check out the new Shopping Cart feature, and keep track of your RB3 scores.
Please be patient if you run into errors - we're actively tweaking things as we're finding issues. Feel free to include feedback in this thread. We'll have a more formal announcement detailing the new features closer to Rock Band Blitz's launch. But just for a level set, expect this to be VERY MUCH in a beta state until RB Blitz launches to the world. GET HYPE!
I perform the greatest karaoke rendition of Born To Run that you'll ever hear. And that is no lie.

Good to know. I finally got around to checking out the FB dashboard, and was wondering why the gamertag link appears to not even try! Actually, I can't do much of anything, in any browser, on the dashboard right now.

I am glad Weird Al is 11th or 12th. It is helpful for Harmonix but it does not make getting the songs much easier.
People like Weird Al, Parry Gripp and Paul & Storm make music fun and funny. Bring on Classic Rock!!
you might want to read up on this then

short version of that, there's gonna be a kickstarter to (hopefully) get weird Al on the RBN pretty soonish![]()
