I'm well aware that this isn't the only factor in song determination. And I'm very glad for that too, because by the numbers we have currently we wouldn't be getting more CCR and Huey Lewis & The News, which I am totally excited for.
But, I do just want to say, I never tried to claim HMX was at fault for my odd point distribution. Just that if I had 10 bands in the game I wanted and 10 bands not in the game that I wanted, I could easily choose the top five from each list. But to me even if I liked the top 5 from the "in game" list better than the bottom 5 of the "not in game" list, I'd almost always rather show my support towards bands from the "not in game" list, in effort to get them onto the platform.
But, that doesn't mean I don't want to support the other artists already in the game, and by not doing so my votes become somewhat skewed and, yet again assuming others are doing similar things, could cause this tool that the people at Harmonix are trying to use for song/band selection to show inaccurate results.
Plus, I really don't see a downside to having more options, in effort of having better results on their end.
