I really loved the new Krallice and Dan Deacon albums were great, the newest Ash Borer was kind of a step back.
Not removing this until we get some Sunn O)))
in which case this will be on for a while.

Really loving the new Nachtmystium. Dunno what it was about Addicts but I could not get into it.

I agree on both counts.
Addicts was alright, but my problem with it is that the band seemed like they were trying too hard to sound "different" and in the process, the album ended up sounding forced and cheesy. You sit there the whole time and just go "Jeez, can we just dial it back, even a little bit?"
I mean, my favorite song on the album is probably No Funeral, which I think is a great song, but even I have to admit that it's the musical equivalent of adding additional salt to your condensed soup.
Assassins was probably the "sweet" spot as far as the band experimenting with infusing black metal with other genres, even though I think Instinct: Decay is their best effort.
I really liked Songs That Can't Be Made. I think the only track that wasn't great was Pour My Love. Gaza was probably my favorite. It's no Marbles, but it's a real solid release from Marillion.
RB Wishlist:
Candlemass
Cream
Genesis
Hüsker Dü
King Crimson
Kyuss
Led Zeppelin
Ne Obliviscaris
Pink Floyd
Porcupine Tree
Type O Negative
I love "Gaza" as well, but it's starting to look to me like another Anoraknophobia - two noteworthy songs (the other being "Power"), but otherwise a whole lot of stuff that will not survive my next iPod sync.
"Montreal" is on the bubble. And now I am really hoping to get to their next concert in Montreal.

I hadn't checked. Now I have. It is a three-day festival. March 22 to 24 2013.
Hmmm. Now I think I know what I want for Christmas.

I just finished listening to A Place to Bury Strangers' 2009 album Exploding Head and their latest album Worship back-to-back. I really enjoyed Worship, but I don't think it's quite as good as its predecessor. It is, however, a nice, solid effort from the band almost 3 years after the excellent Exploding Head.
