I was hearing some talk on Twitter about the album a few days ago that it was actually fairly good... I just laughed it off (I think Mike Portnoy started some of that talk), but it seems like I might actually have to at least check it out.

If you're a VH fan, you'll probably enjoy it. There's as much, if not more, variety than all their classics and while Dave's voice has lost his power, the rest of the band, even Wolfgang, are solid enough to make up for that.

More Alice in Chains and Witchcraft is definitely good news.

    Good News on all fronts.

Van Halen would've been better served as an instrumental band; that or doing what Carlos Santana, Tony Iommi, and Probot did in getting guest musicians working with on vocals. It would've been a better use of Eddie Van Halen's guitar playing to do it that way.
Bands I'd love to see as DLC for Rock Band:

    Bathory []
    Bal Sagoth []
    Amorphis []
    Emperor [X]
    Enslaved []

A few more new Sigh songs have surfaced, lots of interesting stuff going on in each. I think I'm really going to enjoy this album when I listen to it in its entirety.

Will have to look for those tracks.

I know the first one that surfaced the band mentioned on Facebook was "the second-most straightforward song on the album", so I can't wait to see what they have in store for the rest.

Looks like Razorwyre's full-length debut Another Dimension is finally going to be released this year. After listening to the promo track, it's shaping up to be another solid release like their debut EP in 2009.
