They did a couple of EPs in between Meanderthal and Harmonicraft which aren't very good at all. That's what I was referring to. For some reason, I thought that Songs for Singles was a full album, haha

Oh, okay, haha. I didn't check those out, but it sounds like I don't really have a need to do so, either.

Do you mean the splits they did? I actually really enjoyed those, but that's just me.
Not removing this until we get some Sunn O)))
in which case this will be on for a while.

Also, the new Best Coast album is pretty great. It improves on the debut, which I also liked quite a bit.

Checked out the new Astra album. It did not fail to disappoint at all, very strong and well-made album.
We need sludgey and droney and stonery metal:
    Dirge
    Sleep
    Bongripper
    Sunn O)))
    Electric Wizard
    Earth
    Neurosis
    Cult of Luna

Really disappointed with the new Best Coast.

Their debut album was far from the most 'deep' listen, but at least it had a nice lo-fi summery vibe and cute childish lyrics about weed and cats.

Now they've ditched all of that in a vague attempt to appear more credible musically/lyrically but it just seems even more bland, all that made the debut somewhat fun to listen to has been taken away.

Glad people are digging Astra, but I don't think their new one stands up to The Weirding.

Ditto with Best Coast, but that was expected.
