PURDUE
Boiler Up!
USA
People like you irritate me. Is it that hard to get up and switch discs like seriously? Anyways I play this game all the time, Its fun and I love the music and have alot of friends on my list who play the game so if they never released more DLC, I would still be happy and play the game but as they say, the more the merrier!

No, but it's frustrating to have to for ONE instance when nothing else requires it, especially for party settings.
Picture your iPod. Now picture that your favorite artist can NEVER be on that one, and you need to switch to your other iPod to exclusively listen to them. No mixing and matching. And if you don't want a ton of them at once, you'll be switching right back very quickly.

Yea I see your point I guess. Lucky for me though when I put that game in, It's cause me and some friends are usually going to play it for a bit then after awhile we might switch to RB3 or whatever. I can definitely see how it can be annoying though, if you don't really have anyone to play it with cause usually randoms suck lol.

I doubt the DLC would have sold that much better if compatible with the other games. How many people not interested in the game with 13 #1 hits would have gotten the packs consisting mostly of the leftover deep cut DLC packs?
For the record (pun intended), Apple Corp only has the rights to the original recordings (and likenesses).
That being said, side-stepping them by using McCartney live tracks or "as made famous by... would no doubt eliminate any future cooperation. I don't know, but it might even be in the original contract that they wouldn't do that.
I'm not even going to try to poke that hornets nest of numbers, but I can reply to this.
Even if McCartney covers aren't outlined in the initial contract agreements (I have no idea if they are or not) we'd still need to have original master recordings, we'd still need to have Apple Corp sign off on some level and we'd still have to feel like it gelled with the goal of the game. Technical and licensing hurdles aside, I don't know if a modern re record is what we would want in TB:RB which, to me, has always been a game about a certain time and place.
