So are the Edgar Winter Songs confirmed to be the original recordings?

Any chance you could find out? Because that's something a lot of us have kind of been wondering.

Well, if by a "a lot of us" you mean the 3 of you that have asked so far... If I hear about re records in advance then they'll be called out in the press release / announcement / blog, but I'm triple checking with the Audio team.

Where do we request Pro Upgrades for past songs? I remember there was a thread, but isn't it long gone? ;_;

Not a fan of that Korn song when I played it in GH:WT. Will give it another listen when the full charts are up, next Tuesday.

Never heard of Edgar Winter Group, but initial responses deem me hopeful.

Both Edgar Winter Group songs sound delicious to me! It's been a while since an unkown artist came to Rock Band, completely blowing me away.

Um...that's not what I was asking And my "a lot of us" refers to the boards in general. It's (the matter of what songs do and don't get Pro) a question that comes up with fair frequency. I assume it to be related to licensing, but we don't really know.

Oh hell yes! 'Freak on a Leash' is so bought.

Getting both Korn songs and both EWG songs. Nice week of DLC. Also ironic that I ate corn for dinner last night, then saw corn this morning. Hmmm. That may have been TMI.

Might pick up the Edgar Winter tracks eventually, but I'm not exactly going to rush to buy more points to get them.

As for the Korn, no interest in those songs at all. I would've bought Twisted Transistor, but I'm not really interested in those particular tracks.

Agreed, but on that note, they should have mandated modern rock education classes for people over the age of 40 at the local rec center.

For the last few hundred years, pop music has only been a retread of what has come before. There is no need to be educated on today's music because it's only yesterday's music revisited.
