I like all of Coheed's covers more than the originals. Except the Trooper, although their version is fantastic.

Also, and I might catch heat for this, I like Seal's version of "Fly like an Eagle" more than the Steve Miller band version. Space Jam memories, lol.

Everything's kind of been said already, but here's one that hasn't been mentioned: Dum Dum Girls' version of The Smiths' "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrgKtFVKTmI

    Gorgeous, gorgeous cover.

    Some other glaring ommisions:

Devo - "Secret Agent Man" (Johnny Rivers), "Are You Experienced?" (Jimi Hendrix Experience)
Husker Du - "Ticket to Ride" (Beatles)
Big Black - "He's A Whore" (Cheap Trick), "The Model" (Kraftwerk)
The Cure - "World In My Eyes" (Depeche Mode), "Foxy Lady" (Jimi)
Bauhaus - "Telegram Sam" (T. Rex), "Third Uncle" (Brian Eno)
Creaming Jesus - "A Forest" (The Cure)
Carissa's Wierd - "Isolation" (Joy Division)
Skeletal Family - "Black Juju" (Alice Cooper)
Siouxsie & The Banshees - "Helter Skelter" (Beatles)
Xiu Xiu - "Asleep" (The Smiths)

No. I honestly don't understand the overhype of Cap'n Jazz, who is a fine band but noting to be coke fiend-esque like about.

Agreed. Cap'n Jazz and The Mountain Goats are probably the two most overhyped bands around here. Both are all right, but still...

With today's CCR announcement, I'm lamenting that their version of "I Put a Spell on You" is not included.

Also CAKE's version of "I Will Survive."
AsianSteev: if you can read this, put more Ska songs on the RBN! Please?
