I'm one of those who want something to do other than quickplay. My wife and I want a reason to play all my songs again. We're finding that since we completed the tour mode (didn't take long) in RB3 we only ever play the game when some DLC comes out that I buy. We play the songs once and only if they are our favourites do they ever seem to get played again and that's not often. Therefore we need an RB4 to add more depth to the tour mode. I'm sure many feel this way too.

I think there is enough interest in the game to make a refined RB3 for release this Christmas if 1.5m sales as quoted earlier is true (even if many were at discounted price) as less time on development would be needed.

I also agree somewhat the TAG that if they don't come out with one this year they are never likely to come out with another RB game again. If not forever than at least for this generation of consoles. A resurrection of the genre is a possibility for the next generation but it is likely to lead to everyone having to start all over again with DLC and possibly hardware.

No. You're completely ignoring that RB3's Tour is probably shorter because Harmonix saw not many users went too far into Tour Mode. If that's the case, why the hell will 1.5 million people, most of whom are the 'not too far into Tour Mode' crowd, rebuy the same game with a longer Tour Mode?

I play Rock Band every weekend, but I seem to only do quickplay. Just last night I finally "beat" Rock Band 3 (ie, played the final world tour road challenge and unlocked that awesome band video at the end") while playing by myself.

However, I do enjoy the career mode and challenges whenever I load them up, it's just more common to have Rock Band parties where friends come over and we do quickplay sessions with my DLC and export library.

That said, I would absolutely purchase RB4. New songs of course, but also some PS3 bug fixes and updated graphics, interface, etc. Although I find the RB3 overshell and library navigation to be excellent.

Also finally linked my account with my RB3 profile, so hopefully I won't be "unsigned" for long lol.

That's not how ranks work. Ranks work in one of two ways:

The more you post, the higher your rank is. Unsigned > Opening Act > Road Warrior > Headliner > Washed Up

Or a moderator on this site may give you a custom title if you're noticable enough around these parts.

Ahhh, that makes sense. Thanks for the tip. Looks like I'll need to start posting on here more often, though it'll never catch up to my band's status in game.

Of course not, they don't have the same ranks.

OK, first off, organization is key. Your posts are hard to make out most of the time, since they look like three different posts shoved into one. Please, to make things easier, do away with the quotes and weird sentence structures.

Anyways.... I do not want a RB4... Every time they made a new disk, they took songs away from being able to be played in future disks... "Metallica"...
Wait, so you don't want the series to progress? You'd rather RB3, as limited as it is, to be the very last game? Think about that.

Also, they change songs from being DLC to songs that are for that RB... Such as "Man in the Box" in RB2.. I bought that song... Then I bought RB3 and it did not come over to the DLC part... I had to basically re-buy it when you buy the license to export... "Bull $&% in my opinion"......
What do you mean you had to rebuy it? That was on the RB2 disk for starters, and how could you buy a song that's not even DLC?

I think there should be a bunch of patches, updates.

More clothes and appearance features... "add ons, clothes, instruments, hats, etc."
So you don't want a new game, you you want new features to be patched on, which is not really possible technologically.

More songs that are actually good... "Alot of the new songs = poop sickles"....
They should do more than 14 songs a week.. Or they should at least make 10 of them good......
    Not just 1 or 2......
That's a matter of opinion. I happen to like Mastodon and Good Charlotte, thank you very much.

How can you get Guns N Roses on RB3 and not have the songs that made them who they are?
Same with alot of bands that is added.
Licensing. Seriously, licensing kills everything. HMX doesn't just pick songs and put them on Rock Band without consent. Axel Rose for some reason didn't want older GnR tracks in music games, and instead wanted to promote the new album.

I could make a list of songs that would bring alot of people to buy dlc... It is NOT complicated...
Pick the TOP 10 songs for each year......... Takes no effort... (At least that is how HMNX can do it)
I personally could think up hundreds of GREAT songs.....
I am 26 years old and I grew up listening to things from the 50's all the way up to 2012....
Variety is GREAT, but MAKE THEM GOOD!!!!!
First off, as I said, you need legal consent from artists in order to get them on Rock Band. Second, HMX has other games, too, and they're getting DLC as well. They don't have the manpower to get a ton of songs on both Rock Band and Dance Central every week. Third, again, what is good and bad is opinion. I happen to like Megadeth thank you very much.

    That is what I think......
(Don't like what I think.... You are a Poop Sickle)
    I am a poop sickle.

I just want to say that i think RB3 will do fine on DLC for awhile but they will have to make up for it in the future with another game. in this case, Rock Band Blitz will be coming out in the summer but Harmonix has already stated that this isn't one of the main rock band games. it is just something to see how well it sells and to explore how people will play with the new style of rock band blitz. (with no instrument perepherals required). That being said, they still have faith in Rock Band and have not forgotten about it. If they are releasing a Rock Band 4, than they will need to have a new name for it. Something like "Band Jam" because why call it Rock Band when you have more than just rock music in the game and DLC?
