Fujiskunk are you Rick Astley? If you aren't you might want to check if he needs a good PR man.

Yeah...? It's still going very strong, winning new fans every day and shows no sign of stopping?

No doubt Never Gonna Give You Up is a popular song even without the YouTube meme behind it, but don't lie to yourself. Other songs are more innately popular that haven't hit Rock Band. NGGYU got to its spot via spam. THat's it. I don't really care, but that's it.

-1 on the My Little Pony reference. +1 if you're funny enough to be joking

My problem is it being connected to /b/. A collection of people that think stealing anything not bolted down is a good use of an evening should not be legitimatized.

If the vote spam had been for something truly horrible (Justin Bieber? "You Light Up My Life"?), I'm sure they would have ignored it. NGGYU might be, technically, the highest vote getter but they are WELL aware that doesn't really mean it's the most wanted song in Rock Band. More like, it's worth adding, and oh by the way it also (by way of trolling) "got the most votes" (wink, wink).

And yeah, it's worth adding, which is why I'm buying it, and will be playing it for reasons other than "to annoy my bandmates". 80s pop with keyboards is SO much fun to play on RB3.

Also, it's not we were guaranteed to get the "real" most popular song, if only the ballot box hadn't been stuffed by a bunch of clowns. 4chan has ruined a few things in their day, but this isn't one of them.

Be realistic. Sure it being popular and maybe in the top 100 of most requested songs of all time I may believe. But this was due to 4chan and the random people requesting it because of the meme.

Again not that it would have changed what we got and this will make hmx a ton of money. Just a little mean of them to hype it up as the number one song knowing it's not completely legit. And yes most of us expected this and it is a good laugh, but still a little cruel.

Basically it's just like a real rick roll. Someone says click this link to something you REALLY want to see and it's good ol rick. It's funny but you really wanted it to be that other thing.

    That I will agree with.

But, to paraphrase an article about 4chan, crap makes the best fertilizer. Best you can do sometimes is take the good and smack down the rest.
It's all right. Everything will work out fine.

Yeah this is pretty much my view.

Yeah I'm not buying that sorry. I don't believe that the song is legitimately the most requested song.
